The methodology for WHICH reader's survey on gas and electricity is quite clearly flawed and the results are mis-leading.The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

In your opinion, but, you have not shown it to be a fact. As I said before, Jimexbox, Quentin, other utility companies and yourself could have skewed the findings against Utility Warehouse if your allegation is correct.
I really don't think you understand how the WHICH survey is conducted.
They have a huge panel to whom they send questionaires.
Approx 10% of the UW customer base are UW salesmen, so they and their families have a vested interest in ensuring that UW perform well in a survey.
I suggest you read my post again. For, say, BG to have statistically the same chance of an employee(let alone a salesman) being on the panel, BG would have to employ 1,800,000 people.
Over and above that, there are many UW customers who have been conned into believing they have cheap gas and electricity - cos a friend or relative told them it was cheap - after all the TVG absolutely guarantees it!!0 -
Cardew, have you been drinking? I smell desperation...........'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

For the month of September I will pay UW £29 for my gas/electric/phoneline/unlimited broadband/all calls/club fee whereas if I had been paying the BG fixed tariff you have been paying for over 4 years I would have paid £36 for just for my gas and electric. Plus the telephony/bb package included in the £29 total I would pay would cost you much more than that on its own with your preferred telephony supplier. Tell me again, who's been conned here - me or you?Call me Carmine....

Which? magazine have now changed their method of collating surveys as of 1st July. Here is the quote from their site....
Which? Connect
Which? Connect is our online community where we conduct surveys and other interactive research activities among Which? members.
Which? Connect was launched on 1 July 2009, replacing the existing Which? Survey panel (whichsurvey.co.uk).
The community can be found at whichconnect.co.uk, where it is managed for Which? by a company called Verve.
So according to the blurb above they now conduct their surveys within their own online community, interesting. Who's membership I presume would be the entire Which? subscriber base. Are these the same surveys they publish in their magazine? And how are these surveys conducted? It cannot be as simple as login and vote? Maybe a Which? community online member can let us know.0 -

What matters is if customers are happy with their utility company and I do not have any vested interest in lying to myself and I do not see why others should lie either.
You have never shown any evidence that WHICH? surveys are unreliable. As I have said before, Quentin, Jimexbox, other utility companies and yourself could have skewed the results against Utility Warehouse if your assumptions are correct. You and the other Utility Warehouse detractors try and cry foul when Utility Warehouse looks good in a WHICH? survey but gloat when what you perceive as the opposite happens. That is hypocrisy personified. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I think it would be fair to say UWs launch of the cashback card has proved to be a real kick in the nads for Cardew, Quentin and the supporting cast. In effect, they are deliberately perpetuating an argument that isn't actually there in the first place. AFAIK not one pro-UW poster on here has ever suggested that UW is the solution for everybody's utility bill problems, but it can be the cheapest for some people, potentially a lot of people due to the cashback card. Seriously, what person who wasn't after trouble could actually argue against that statement?Call me Carmine....

So come on then, spell it out for all to see. Provide your actual figures in detail for last month? You have told everyone what you have got for £29 several times now, but have failed to give any actual detail. i.e. a full breakdown of your September bill, exactly what you paid UW for your services and how much you spent on your cashback card (groceries, petrol, diesel, TV's, Computers, any other sundry items) to end up with a bottom line figure of £29. Post your monthly bill to show any doubters. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
