An independent distributor has to have 50 active customers in order to continually get paid full commission on all of their services for as long as they remain customers. Drop below fifty and the payments decrease, unless another customer is gained in that month. Drop below twenty and all payments cease until a customer is gained. There are no "extra" payments as such, but obviously the commission goes up for every extra customer gained. I hope that helps.
So it is a key point in the pay structure.0 -
Weren't you one of the main people stating that WHICH? methods are flawed? Are you now saying that you accept their findings?
The methodology for WHICH reader's survey on gas and electricity is quite clearly flawed and the results are mis-leading. I gave the reasons for that conclusion in an earlier post.
That is very different from you implying that I have stated all WHICH methods are flawed.
It might suit your purpose to create the impression that people are attacking a well respected publication like WHICH; however on the contrary most(all?) of us are fans of WHICH.0 -

I have 'your people' working on it for me;)
'My people' wouldn't put up with working for you, I assure you. Unless you only adopt this curious persona when you are online, of course. Don't forget to put that speedtest up the next time you are in those other locations with blazing fast cable, OK?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Woudn't it be amusing if posts on here were only allowed to be quoted in full or not at all. How would cardew and quentin cope with that, I wonder?Call me Carmine....

Are you suggesting that switching sites are not in any way 'flawed'?

Thanked 3,258 Times in 2,614 PostsMore Comparison Network 'tricks'
As discussed many times on this forum, the comparison networks sole objective is to get people to switch supplier and hence get their commission.
In order to achieve this objective they will resort to any 'legal' means.
I am on a BG fixed tariff that ends on April 30 2010. I recently went on Energyhelpline to compare my present tariff with other tariffs.
The annual figure they gave for my tariff didn't seem correct so I checked further and found the following 'small print'
Quote:
We’ve noticed that you’re currently on a capped or fixed price energy tariff that’s due to expire within the next 12 months. To give you a more accurate comparison, we’ve used the prices you’ll most likely be transferred onto by your existing supplier when your current tariff expires, as well as your current prices.
So if you’ve got 4 months left to go until your capped prices expire, we’ve calculated 4 months’ worth of energy at these prices, and 8 months at your new prices, added them together and used this to compare against the rest of the market.
It would appear in my case that they have assumed that I would take no action when my fixed tariff expires and pay BG Standard tariff prices!!
This little trick made my 'tariff' appear £207 more expensive. Of course as we get closer to April 2010 it will massage my figures to make switching even more attractive.
I also tried Enerylinx and although it lists all BG tariffs(including mine) it defaults to BG Standard Tariff when showing my current payment. - thus making switching seem very attractive.Call me Carmine....

I was going to post something quite similar. I am happy to be a 'guillable' to as I have paid NOTHING for my utilities, phone etc for the past 2 months! How many other people can say that on here I wonder?:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I cannot see what you are trying to get at.
You claim to post on this thread for altruistic reasons but refuse to post the link to your Utility Warehouse pre payment card beating cashback card. Why is that?
Why is it that when two people have shown how they save money by being Utility Warehouse customers, you continue to state that others can not save money by being a customer?
Why is it that you continue call customers of Utility Warehouse "gullibles" when you have been informed that I find it personally insulting and abusive?
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.
