Another independent report (this one's from LoveMoney) saying uw energy tariffs are expensive to note in the threepenny jotter:Where exactly it appears in the comparison tables depends on your post code and energy usage, but in all the tests I've run recently, Utility Warehouse is usually somewhat more than £100 more expensive than the cheapest tariff available, and the smallest difference I've found is £80.0

Any chance of answering my questions Q.
1. What is the cheapest available tariff?
2. How many people are actually on the cheapest available tariff?
3. What is the username you use to access the NWP site which you have no right to access?
Incidentally how come you believe what this 'independent report says' but not when Which says anything positive about the UW which btw is most of the time - even in the last one albeit with it's 'supposedly' - I say 'supposedly adverse comment. I don't see it that way. I see it as useful.0 -
LOL. Is Cardew experiencing trouble with his expensive BT internet connection, I wonder? Or has he finally flipped?Call me Carmine....

Yes. He does appear to be having some trouble. Was it the questions I asked do you think?
Considering he is supposed to know it all he's appears to be struggling this time. :rotfl:
Give him time tghough. He might be able to tell everyone the answers without humiliating himself.0 -
2 can play at that game:
New readers.
UW have just about the highest Gas and Electricity prices in UK, just try any of the Comparison websites recommended by Martin to confirm the facts.
If you wish use the 'Which' comparison network and that will show exactly the same that UW have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK.
Which have stated the their gas and electricity is 20% more expensive than the cheapest.
For the month of September my bill from UW for:
Gas 285
Electric 352
Up to 24mb unlimited broadband
Phone Line Rental
ALL calls (approx 300 of them, including some International ones)
Free calls to UW CS/tech support etc
Club fee
Monthly PAPER bill
One DD payment
...will amount to the princely sum of £29!
How much would you be paying for 'comparable' telephony package and gas and electric on your 4 and a half year old BG fixed deal based on my usage?Call me Carmine....

I say 'supposedly adverse comment. I don't see it that way. I see it as useful.
Here you refer to this comment in the Which? report as being "useful":
Which? wrote:for gas and electricity uw customers pay around 20% more than with the cheapest supplier on the market
So with your happy bunny hat on for MSE you say it's "useful", yet when talking on the uw reps forum you say this is a "stumbling block" when you pull out your copy of the Which? article and show it to gullibles you want to sign up. You ask how to get round this bit of the article and find it "sound" when advised to reprint the article in a special way so that the headlines are clear, but the "stumbling block" about the uw tariffs being expensive is in small print and hard for anyone to read.
Cynical or what?0 -

Rather than asking me questions why don't you answer mine and Nigewick's first.
1. What is the cheapest available energy tariff?
2. How many people are actually on the cheapest available tariff
3. What is the username you use to gain access to the NWP site which you have no right to access?
Any chance of answering these questions? Better than a snowball in hell?
I'll be happy to answer your questions afterwards.
Fairs fair don't you think? :beer:0 -
When asking whether you were "Cynical or what?" by posting here you find the Which? comment about uw tariffs being expensive a "useful" one when your other self at the uw reps forum call it a "stumbling block" when showing the article to new gullibles, I should have marked the question with a *.
Then explained the * for you as "* = rhetorical, no answer expected"0 -

The growth of the company seems to indicate they've got that bit right, and the Financial Times seem to thing they're a good company (or are you going to come here and call FT 'fundamentally flawed' as well?).
At the end of the day, all businesses are in the market place to make money, not run at a loss to please Cardew, Quentin and jimexbox.
As a matter of fact, the Financial Times and Which? are just two of many that give the company the thumbs up. And have done so almost from the time the company was created.
I don't know about you but if I was a visitor here I'd be more inclined to take notice of a lot of 3rd party credibility stories from reputable organisations and papers than 3 seemingly strange individuals or even what UW IDs tell me.
In any event, if I didn't find it of use to me then I would leave - nothing to stop me really.
As it is I've been a member almost from the beginning and see no reason to leave. I'm sure there are a growing number like me.0 -

Instead of getting angry and insulting people Quentin (once again) would it not do you more good and make you more credible if you at least tried to answer my questions and those of Nigewick's.
