Are you too small minded not to make your aggressive and arrogant comments to me instead of involving someone else.l.

I thought I had spoken directly to you earlier, but the message didn't seem to get through.

However as Maz obviously felt sympathy for your plight, I simply addressed her concerns.

Anyway as I too am feeling sorry for you - time to back off.

You go off and turn your insults back onto Quentin!(with Carmine's permission)

This is all stags clashing horns.

The upshot is that UW is great for some but not for everyone.

We should all get over this.

It doesn't suit Cardew, Quentin, Jimexbox or mech (sorry if I've left anyone out) but it DOES suit a LOT of other people.

Now, sorry to take the heat out of the argument that you've all enjoyed for quite a considerable length of time but allow people the right to make their own minds up, just the way you have.

If it doesn't comply with your opnion, accept that. And also accept that not everyone will agree with you!

Completely agree with you. Only one problem. This thread appears to only exist because those who dislike UW for whatever reason want to perpetuate their anti UW mantra.

If they can accept what you, me and other UW IDs constantly keep saying then a proper discussion might just take place.

But somehow I won't be holding my breath for long. What about you Maz

You accused me recently of not reading something properly. Do you ever really read your own posts and realise how arrogant and self serving they actually are.

One simple question: Do you accept the UW can benefit some people in this country if the fit is right?

Hey Cardew, I just happened to have received my leccy bill last week, so I know what my price per unit charges are.

At least UW are homest enoughto tell you how much your 'service charge' is unlike BG who hide it in the first 200 units.

If I receive bad service from a company, I am usually the first to remark about, just after I switch to another provider.
I'll even forgive Charles Wigoder for supporting the lying, theiving scum that is the Conservative party, so long as UW keep up the good service.

    Right first time.
    ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4786 kbps 1017 kbps
Line Attenuation 50.5 db 27.0 db
Noise Margin 8.70 db 11.5 db

    penrhyn,

I often wonder just what the advantages are for us mere mortals in having slightly faster speeds.

In this house I get around 3000/448kbps. I also frequently use 'blazing fast' cable in other locations abroad.

Frankly I find very little difference for most of my surfing, even when downloading large files it is the servers that restrict download speed.

    Just a thought!

No idea what you're talking about here Cardew as I haven't got the time or the energy to trawl through back posts.

I have to make it quite clear that I am not feeling sympathy for Keggs. He is more than capable of finding out the information he needs to satisfy the enquiries from his customers.

I am however, feeling sympathy for you and pity you really.

The thing that most determines humans from animals is our empathy and understanding of our fellow human beings. This includes our individuality and ability to enjoy differing opnions/lifestyles/outlooks etc.

This seems to have passed you by and together with your seeming lack of humour, cuts you off from a large part of humanity that might well enrich your life.

Promise us next time you are in one of these 'other locations' with blazing fast cable you put up the speedtest figures. Would love to see a really big score on there. When are you next 'there'? I can't wait, personally.
