    Avenger,
People are simply offering advice – not telling people what to do.

In the case of UW, myself and others are offering advice that UW have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK; and offering indisputable evidence to support that statement.

People are clearly free to take note of that advice, or reject the advice.

As for the statement “You've never been customers! So you don't know what it's like!!

If you are serious in that statement, then Martin and all his staff have no business offering any advice on any product/service unless they have personal experience of that product/service. Any research they carry out must be a waste of time.

Sorry but I just couldn't resist.

    a) You are telling people what to do Cardew. You effectively told Janninenew that she must be stupid to use the UW

    b) As for Martin Lewis - no he shouldn't be giving advice in my opinion. He's self made opinionated individual (something similar to yourself I might add) who thinks he knows everything there is to know about finance, saving money. The title of his web site is testament to that. He cause a lot of misery for many people last year with his 'cap, cap, cap' mantra then had to hurriedly back track.

So, no cardew I prefer to take NO ADVICE FROM HIM or from you for that matter.

Run those Click 1 Tier 1 Tariffs and Tier 2 rates in the year (2006) it was introduced again, will you? Thanks. ;)

I love how mine are lies and yours simply 'mistakes'...LOL.Seriously, if it was me I would be happier to accept I lied about French & Saunders because the alternative 'excuse' is even more embarrassing. It was late at night...

    From Carmine
It's a topic I raised ealier but Cardew chose to ignore it. I'll say it again. Cardew took out a 5 year fixed deal with BG in 2005. At the time the tariff was considerably more expensive than even BGs standard tariff (and certainly way more than the Click online tariff BG craftily launched the year after Cardew took out his fixed deal).

    From Cardew

Over the past year you have kept repeating this nonsense time and again. It seems to be a regular tactic of yours to discredit people rather than address issues.

So let me give you some facts - and I have all the relevant paperwork to hand:

    1. I joined BG's fixed to
    April 30th 2010 tariff on 29 Nov 2005.

    2. That tariff used BG's standard tariff as the basis for their charging and increased their gas price by 2.8% over the standard tariff and reduced their standard electricity prices by 4.8%

The BG letter states that for the average 20,500/3300kWH customer the overall costs would be the same. On my consumption I actually paid a little less on my new tariff.

So you are completely incorrect when you say that "at the time the tariff was considerably more expensive than even BGs standard tariff"

    3. On the 2010 tariff I was(and am) paying 11.907p/7.157p tier1/tier2 for electricity and 3.032p/2.113p tier1/tier 2 for gas - prices include VAT and exclude dual fuel discount.

    4. On
01 March 2006 BG increased their standard tariff to 15.259p/9.172p elect and 3.441p/2.553p gas.

    5. On
04 Sep 2006 BG introduced their Click 1 online tariff and again increased their standard tariff.

Their Standard Tariff on that date for my area was 17.452p/10.457p electricity and 5.207p/2.941p gas and the tier 1 levels were the same as previously

The Click Tariff on that date was 10.697p/8.53p elect and 3.325p/2.553p gas - tier levels same as previously. The dual Fuel discount remained the same as the 2010 tariff.

So yet again you are completely wrong in stating "'the 2010 tariff' was certainly way more than the Click online tariff BG craftily launched the year after Cardew took out his fixed deal"

If fact as I stated when you first challenged the wisdom of people who had elected for the 2010 tariff, I have paid less than any other BG tariff from 29 Nov 2005 until today and with every expectation that I will continue to pay less than any available tariff.

After a few more posts from you trying to extract yourself from the 'errors' you made we got this:

    From Carmine
Fella, if you can apologise for fabricating the 'fact' that you saw French & Saunders on your TV advertising UW 'most nights' (and you did sort of issue a rather embarrassed apology) then I have no problem apologising for getting this (sort of) wrong. I apologise. Unreservedly. Totally. Without question. Absolutely

    You really should resist!!

You either cannot read correctly, or have difficulty understanding what you read.

    I stated very clearly:
People are clearly free to take note of that advice, or reject the advice.

That is not the same as telling them "what they should or shouldn't do".

Now if really you cannot understand this, at the risk of sounding patronising(moi;)) I will try to explain it in simpler terms.

Let me know - by PM if you are a little embarrassed - I only want to help.

I don't believe you Cardew.Your ferocious negativity towards the UW itself, its IDs and its members belies any idea of 'wanting to help'. I don't believe anything you say. Period.

As sounding patronising Yes you are very patronising in just about every reposte you make. You have continually avoided answering Nigewic or any other Uw club member that they save money and always have done. Instead you continue writing the same rubbish in the hope a casual visitor will believe you.

I haven't really returned. I simply wanted to comment on the stupid comment made by cardew in his reference to Martin Lewis in particular and his pathetic attempt at trying to suggest that he 'doesn't try to tell anyone what to do.' He does and he knows it evenif he denies it.

You don't need to comment further espresso as you don't usually have anything useful to say in any case. I'll leave you to your pathetic conversations which go no where but round in circles.

Thanks for that, Cardew. You didn't post up the amount of Tier 1 units you pay per quarter on your April 2010 deal and the amount of Tier 1 units people on Click 1 pay on per quarter and the relevant notes/small print were missed off on your .jpg (did Xbox do it for you?). Have you got the rest of the .jpg? Is it the same? Thanks. ;)
