Fisrt chance to get back on here and what do I see? A post from Cardew calling me a troll . The King of misinformation strikes again. I absolutely agree we want correct info on here..so what would non-regular readers have made of your claim that French & Saunders were advertising UW on your TV most nights of the week? You have a short memory, my friend.
And then you accuse me of doctoring my usage figures to make UW seems a better deal? Really? At least with me you actually get usage figures and details about my credentials for advising people - you are the typical 'do as I say, not as I do' bore that populates internet discussion forums.
And now we get onto your little used annex (e?). Here's the interesting bit- you post your leccy usage here in isolation but then compare it to UWs leccy but conveniently use the DUAL FUEL discount you get on your leccy without once stating your gas usage. Hmmmm....misinformation perhaps? Doctoring the figures, perhaps? Then PlushChris sort of took the wind out of your sails by (I think innocently) informing you that you would be much better off with, for instance, npower. In fact THEY WOULD PAY YOU!! And here's your response:27-08-2009, 9:36 PM #5236

Yes I did see that, however how do you illustrate the additional payment UW make in percentage terms!!!
I will settle for UW charge over 21 times as much for electricity as my tariff charges(or 2,150%) - sounds much better from my side of the fence
:rotfl:
You're paying way too much for your little-used annexe's gas and electric and have been for years, haven't you? Backfire. Bang. So, to accurately compare we would obviously need your gas consumption that you deliberately left out. Agreed? Or did you put that in and the results weren't quite so spectacular so took it out again? Over to you...Call me Carmine....

If it was anyone but yourself, I would believe that they simply are not getting the message.
However you most certainly get the message and your only response is to drag the discussion away from UW prices again. Your pathetic attempts to take the issue of my annexe consumption out of context is another classic example of you reverting to your usual Troll mode. I note the 4,000% and additional £78 don’t get a mention!
Does it matter if I have been paying the highest prices possible on all my accounts, that I do or don’t use a cash card, that I am completely unworldly, that I ‘lied’ where French and Saunders advertise?
The unmistakeable fact is that UW prices are without question some of the very highest in UK and your trolling posts on this thread cannot disguise that fact.0 -

OF COURSE IT MATTERS!The first thing people should do when given advice is assess the credibility/honesty/experiences of the person giving the advice.
PS Talking of 'out of context', to quote your leccy price LESS DUAL FUEL DISCOUNT then seek to compare it to UWs leccy price but not also quote the gas consumption is misinformation, pure and simple. Let's have your gas consumption on that annex (you know, the thing that allows the dual fuel discount on your leccy) and let's have another look. Failure to do so would more than hint that you have summat to hide.Call me Carmine....

You don't give up trolling do you?
I will say it once more S L O W L Y.
It matters not in the slightest if I have the best possible deal on my annex(or any other account) or have the worst possible deal. That I have got those good or bad tariffs by accident or design.
The issue is UW gas and electricity prices and without question UW have just about the most expensive gas and electricity prices in UK. One thing is absolutely certain, that if I were to get UW gas and electricity in my annex(or on any of my accounts) I would be paying just about the highest prices in UK.
It is equally certain that if anyone else were to take UW gas and electricity they would also be paying just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK.
Once again your troll like behaviour of diverting the discussion away from UW high prices will not work.0 -
Cardew is sooooo predictable I prepared this response about 20 mins ago.
Haven't had to change it one iota (with the exception of this opening couple of sentences, obviously!).
LOL. I get the distinct impression we aren't going to get Cardew's gas consumption (is is a State secret? Is he in fact a secret agent with his globe-trotting lifestyle?). My guess is he has a gas supply but doesn't actually use it. But still gets dual fuel discount as he has ‘a supply‘. Only problem being energyhelpline won't allow you to put 0 in the gas consumption field but will allow you to put 1. Midlands area, BG Price Protection 2010 (a fixed rate he's been paying for over 4 years, btw)
Gas 1kwh
Leccy 170kwh
Cardew's price for the year? An amazing £5. Yippee! But wait, the monstrously overpriced npower juice tariff (which supplies 100% green leccy from off-shore wind farms, lol) would charge him MINUS 80 POUNDS over the course of 12 months! Meaning Cardew is paying 1617% too much! He's overpaying £85 per year on his little-used annex, and remember he's been paying these exact same prices since 2005! Would you take money saving advice from this person?Call me Carmine....

That rubbish is exactly in the same league as his:
1. BG introduced an internet tariff much cheaper than your fixed tariff.
2. You have only ever used BG and BT
3. His latest "can't you remember that you posted your gas consumption a few days ago - worrying" remark.
Completely and utterly wrong as usual. The thought of leaving a detached cottage without heating, even when unoccupied, hasn't even occurred to 'Carmine the Clairvoyant Troll'.
He would now like to move the discussion away from UW's extremely high prices.0 -
Soooooo...what is your gas consumption? I've given you enough licence to work out the most advantangeous figure for your argument. Let's have it. Do you believe you are paying the absolute cheapest price for your utilities on that annex? If not, why not? Exit fees putting you off switching? In my example you are paying £5 a year but the exit fees amount to £35! And am I right in stating you have been paying the prices quoted since 2005 but this MINUS £80 figure is based on a vastly inflated (compared to 2005) 2009 figure?Call me Carmine....

Cardew, you consistently maintain that UW have some of the very highest energy prices in the UK.
ALL of my customers save money compared with their previous energy suppliers. Some have the cashback card, some don't. This is factual. You can believe it or not, it's all the same to me. Suit yourself. I have seen their bills and their current charges, given them UW rates and they have done their own calculations. Then they have made their own minds up to save money on a price comparison, personal service and the rest of the benefits.
You and others of your ilk, can't seem to comprehend this. I know it's a sh1tty industry generally speaking but UW offer something unique.
Does it never occur to you that, you might just be wrong? And that, for a lot of people, UW offer a very attractive alternative?'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

Happy trolling!
Your input is getting quite pitiful these days - sad, you used to be more inventive.0 -

You also have trotted out that implausible statement time and again, and as I have said many times, I simply do not believe you, I think you are mistaken.
Given your previous input on this thread, that assumption that you are mistaken is well justified, and you have given no indication of figures to support your case.
So unless you quote some figures and statistics for your customers, I do not intend to dignify your posts with any further response - except to say you know, I know, and everyone with any common sense knows that UW have some of the very highest prices for gas and electricity in UK.
Give me some figures and I will prove it!!!!!0
