Utility Warehouse (Telecom Plus) Discussion

I think people need to be wary of such approaches, even by family members who might be network selling , and try and make their own comparisons and decisions, independantly.
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I have tried to help you by supplying average energy consumption data that I hope will help you in your post fabrication, is this another new line in UW disinformation? The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Just in case any newcomer is baffled by the last few pages of contributions from those with a strong vested interest in promoting UW, all you really need to know is that UW have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK, and if a a relative/friend tries to tell you otherwise - do not believe them. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Are you seriously suggesting that UW are competitive in the energy market? The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

If I answer your question, will you offer your opinon on why UW are so far down the list on energyhelpline. Which is recommend by this very site? Which seeing as you are very knowledgeable 'independent' money saving poster, we would all (I think) appreciate your thoughts?
I'll do better than that, I won't even wait for your answer (as you never answer owt anyway). I'll just answer you anyway. energyhelpline and the rest of the switching sites just show the 'bald' figures and there are definitely cheaper deals out there based on them, no question (has anybody ever said differently?), but they don't show what can be achieved with them if you are prepared to take them up on their various initiatives. No other energy supplier offers such a thing as a cash back card. Or 24/7 free calls by taking up the 4 services. I, and others on here, took them up on the cashback card (and also on the broadband and phone), and if my net figure was to be reflected properly by the switching site my deal would be at the top. The very top. Cheaper than any other supplier. In this respect the switching sites do UW a disservice. They don't give the full picture so the punter can make an informed decision. But, to be fair to the switching sites, UW are like no other energy supplier, there's a certain amount of 'thinking outside the box' to be done. Some people get it, some don't . Not the end of the World, is it?
That OK?
Now, I'll reproduce my post to you AGAIN and await a response to the WHOLE POST. Surely even you can't wriggle out of this one. You have promised an answer. But who knows...Quote:Originally Posted by jimexbox

After all mate, you are independent, or so you claim, yet you absolutely refuse to discuss this avenue on how to save money. Seriously, I value your money saving opinion, you have helped me in the past, of which I am truly grateful (see I'm not a guru, apology maybe?) So what is you opinion? Or do you not have one?
Here's a question for you (don't panic, it's not asking for any details of your money saving regime):
If you made 5 daytime calls each of an average of 30 secs duration...how much would BT charge you just for these calls each month?
Now I've answered you (again!) are you at least going to consider asking Quentin for details of this cash back card? It would appear you can get 5% on your shopping and, crucially, you and your wife wouldn't have to change your shopping habits one iota. £6,500 x 5% = £325. In your pocket. And you stop where you are for your utilities. Why wouldn't anybody want to do this, let alone a committed money saver? It's a no-brainer, mate. Ask him....

I would be charged £0. I don't use BT during the day.
I would use my O2 mobile. For £15 per month I receive 600 texts and 300 minutes any network at anytime. Glad I can be of some assistance.:D0 -
Are you seriously suggesting that Utility Warehouse can not benefit some consumers? You know, after I have provided my figures and shown that I save about £4.50 per month compared to the companies that were touted as being THE cheapest. And that before Utility warehouse dropped their prices by about 2%.
Unless you have a set of requirements that are manufactured in a lab.;) I would contend that for most normal people free broadband and phone (sufficient spend on discount card applicable), coupled with a far cheaper online energy tariff would be the best bet.
Sure, if you are addicted to 0845/0870 and are unemployed, hence ring everyone during the day. UW is definitely for you. Although I cant imagine that unemployed addicts are your target market.0 -

:rotfl: Pathetic. Seriously, what part of WHOLE POST don't you understand? Now, I answered your question directly, be a man not a mouse and reply to my whole post, specifically this bit:

PS Nice, you spend £15 a month (I'm assuming that's £15 you and £15 wife so actually THIRTY POUNDS a month?) so you don't have to pay BT for daytime calls. Money saving genius. Not. Looks like you're in desperate need of Quentin's cashback card details...Call me Carmine....

Have you forgot my responses to this question already. Honestly mate, I'm concerned about you. I have answered the question of online shopping numerous times. It may be a trait of certain UW customers to bully and oppress their parters, thankfully its not an idea I subscribe too.
Glad I could be of some assistance.0 -

I'm assuming this post is aimed at me (though knowing your lack of guts you'll probably dip out of confirming). You think I'm unemployed? You're rattled, aren't you? Don't take me on, jimexbox, you're out of your depth without a float...
