Not only are they 'not the cheapest supplier' but they are very much one of the most expensive suppliers in UK of gas and electricity.

Nobody, but nobody, is suggesting that you, or anyone else, should leave UW if the cash card suits your purpose. However I do note that the cashcard has only been introduced less than a year ago, and you have been a UW customer for many years - again that is entirely your perogative.

What several posters are attempting to point out in this thread are the facts about UW high prices and to counter the blatent misinformation by the many vested interests who post in praise of UW.

You recently posted that you recently checked and 'UW were in the top 10 for gas and electricity prices'. Had that totally incorrect statement not been challenged, new readers of this thread could be misinformed about the true situation.

It doesn't matter if you have a vested interest in UW or not - or are simply defending your choice of company - you posted incorrect information and apparently are upset because this was corrected.

So let us get this absolutely straight. The people who post unpalatable FACTS about UW have no vested interest other than to counter the deliberate misinformation that seeks to portray UW as having competitive gas and electricity prices.

Do you ever read the thread apart from mine and your posts? There was a punter this morning suggesting that NigeWick did EXACTLY that.

Were UW considered to be competitive for their gas and electricity prices a few years ago?

You recently posted that you recently checked and 'UW were in the top 10 for gas and electricity prices'. Had that totally incorrect statement not been challenged, new readers of this thread could be misinformed about the true situation. This was not an incorrect statement! How do you know what information i was seeing on a price comparision site? I never entered my figures (i never said i did though!) so maybe it wasn't the most accurate by they DID appear in the top 10 a few months ago for (they don't at the moment). I'm not very savvy about entering my readings (plus i didn't have my bills handy) so i filled out details of what my spend last year was and details about my house, hours of usuage etc! I resent the fact that you accuse me of lying.

It doesn't matter if you have a vested interest in UW or not - or are simply defending your choice of company - you posted incorrect information and apparently are upset because this was corrected. Prove that i posted incorrect information! The information that you have posted above is incorrect, but as Carmine has pointed out, this wouldn't be the first the time.

So let us get this absolutely straight. The people who post unpalatable FACTS about UW have no vested interest other than to counter the deliberate misinformation that seeks to portray UW as having competitive gas and electricity prices.

All i am doing is giving my experience with UW as a customer, nothing more. I would hope people who come on here would make their own minds up and not be swayed by this thread.

This from someone who is too scared to give us his usage figures for fear of, well, who knows what. I've said all I have wanted to say on the subject, it's in the post a bit further up. It's unequivocal what i feel about any company in this entirely discredited industry. If I could join Bin Laden in that cave thereby not having to pay any of them I would (to be fair I reckon I could find him before we got the usage figs out of you). So basically you can bog off with your creepy, leading questions.

    Over to you, Einstein....

Eh? This is a UW specific thread which you frequent, am I wrong? You will happily bash Eon here, talk about the energy industry as a whole, yet refuse to discuss UW, how bizarre is that?

Why will you not comment on specific aspects of UW? You are a prolific poster with nothing to say, why?

Please, I know you're still hurting about the drubbing you got on your own supplier's T&Cs the other day from me (actually I can't claim credit for it, you did yourself up like a kipper :p) but stop hounding me to try and recover some semblance of pride. You're not in any way a challenge for me. And I prefer a challenge.

LOL. It took you hours to realise what end of the body you were originally talking from. How can anyone who claims to keep on top of his bills to such an extent that he's allegedly paying way more per month than he was just a couple of months ago so as to cover his projected usage not know that Eon grant the discount quarterly? It's akin to Einstein struggling with the 2 times table. Then us mere mortals are supposed to take your advice on the UW thread seriously?

How do you explain the fact that Carmine gets his utilities from Utility Warehouse because he gets the best deal for his requirements then? Also, I save money by using the pre payment card as I demonstrated some time ago.

If it works for us, why do still say that it does not work for anybody? Or, do you admit that Utility Warehouse can be the best value for some people if their usage, wants and other circumstances make it so?

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

Costs how much? I explained, I carry my goods home as I walk. I normally do small amounts every day that will fit in my rucksack. I choose to do this because it suits me. Or, do you not think people/I should have free choice?

Following on from plushchris' plugging of Tesco's new clubcard deal, what he failed to mention was the new double points deal doesn't apply to fuel purchases. The Tesco filling station near us are charging 103.9p for unleaded and 104.9p for diesel. The Sainsburys filling station we now fill up at are charging 101.9p for either fuel. We get 5% of the spend here off our UW bill. Big difference when we spend at least £50 a week on fuel alone. Over the course of a year the discount applied to our UW bill just as a result of buying our fuel from Sainsburys will amount to approx £140.00.

What cash back card do members of the AUWF use for their fuel purchases? I'm curious.
