Watch the presentation - doesn't seem intended as a joke at all!
http://www.networkerplus.co.uk/videos/rejection-free-presentation-big-al.htmlThe Utility Warehouse again welcomed Big Al to the stage to cover the concept of using the right word sequences to encourage a more receptive response from those people who are evaluating the Utility Warehouse business for the first time.
Ready to go out talking with some prospects. Manipulating the minds of others for fun and profit. Please give me a presentation rejection free. Sequence of words. Instant results. say words and people respond in a consistent way amd ypu get lots of presentations. Taking advantage of other peoples programing so that they beleive what you say. We do this all the time without even thinking about it. Lets stop this being a random act and give the process some focus. Once you learn the magic sequence of words everything gets easy. Stop working hard and start working effectivley. Control their mind and freeze their brain with four words..."I just found out...", "there are two types of people in the world", "if you are willing to fill out a simple one page form then, you could get a disscount on all of your utilities",0 -
But there's a big gap between becoming a new ID and having 'built a business'.
It is the new IDs that are most likely to be *cough* inaccurate when selling, and despite vinny's protestations, needing to sign up x customers in y months to get my £200 back is pressure.
So the IDs under most pressure to get customers were also the ones given 'a thick volume' that 'quite a few scanned it and got on with trying to earn some money'. UW made no checks that they had even done this.
As to the 'did they jump or were they pushed' - does it matter? (they may have even jumped just before they were pushed). UW has not been making sure that people selling its products have been trained consistently to work within the agreed industry guidelines. I dread to bring up energysure - all I got last time was Carmine going - 'but look, SSE are bad too'.
With respect are you not just making an unguided attack without knowing the facts. Surmising as to how UW operates is not a credible basis for a valid attack. You don't even know what the training is like.
To get the £200 signing fee back someone needs 12 customers over 90 days. that's less than one customer a week. They don't have to achieve that either. They are under no pressure to get that its up to them. However, they get help from their upline. They do it at the same time as a normal job.
A door to door energy salesman in the other companies target is generally 3 sales a day, 6 days a week. That's 234 customers in 90 days. That is constant pressure. If they don't perform the company gets rid of them, or they don't earn much. No wonder the turnover of salespeople is very high and they only last a few weeks or months before they get a better job.
When it comes to energy sure a company can still send out an 18 year old with a few hours training and be expected to go and get 3 customers a day being trained by their supervisor who started the week before who himself is under pressure from his manager. So energy sure doesn't really mean the training is good. Most door to door knockers are self employed contractors working for a third party direct marketing company itself under pressure to get numbers else it looses the contract. No wonder there is such a bad reputation generated by the big 6 door sellers. I feel sorry for them under so much pressure.Quentin's Cashback Card?

You know you could get gas and electricity cheaper elsewhere, and then use any shopping discount as a true moneysaver. Yet just ignore this valid point. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

As an aside, any idea what percentage of British Gas customers are on your company's highest tariffs?
Not to sure but no doubt a lot of people will be on standard tariff and the one's that have money to burn will be on the likes of future energy and zero carbon. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -
This is what gets me about energy companies and their myriad of tariffs designed to confuse. I've had my 'sorry you're leaving' letter from Scottish Power. In it are all these super duper tariffs I'm sure the majority of their customers wouldn't know anything about even if the bit them on the derriere.
Let's say I was one of those punters who had been on their standard rate for donkeys years before I 'saw the light' and switched away. Why didn't they tell me about these much cheaper tariffs whilst I WAS a customer and obviously paying over the odds? It's all very very dodgy IMO.
But, of course, this is the company that Quentin often 'pushes' in his Quidco-exclusive cash back threadsCall me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I would guess Quentin hasn't even made an accurate calculation of what he pays with his number of companies in comparison to an accurate calculation to what he would pay with UW but instead chooses to spend his time desperately trying to discredit UW and distributors. I have made calculations for mine and it is much cheaper for me in total. Even if it were more I would prefer to pay more to still get the better service.
I think people would be very interested to see what Quentin actually pays with his choice of companies. What about a vote.
Who would like to see what Quentin actually pays in total and who he is with.Quentin's Cashback Card?

That's just the thing - Quentin NEVER admits to the company he keeps. It's obvious why this is - all his critcisms of UW would come home to roost when readers got to grips with the dodgy practices/ASA adjudications etc of the company he's using. An example of his recommendation for my phone line/bb package - Tiscali! :eek:Call me Carmine....

I'm concerned that its being suggested that utility switching sites are inaccurate.
I tend to use Energyhelpline.
My numbers are.
My annual bill for 2024 units of Electricity and 8900 Kwh of gas would cost me £714 on the British Gas and EON Standard tariffs.
It tells me that UW (Standard User)would charge me £630 a saving of 12%.
The cheapest tariff was EDF Online 5 at £493 a saving of 31%.
(East Midlands)
Is Energyhelpline showing an accurate price for UW , and if not what should it be?That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I think the problem with switching sites is demonstrated by that EDF online 5 deal. That has literally come from absolutely nowhere to head up the best deals page! If you had checked the same switching site with your exact same usage even 2 months ago the results would have been very different indeed. The switching sites give their figures based on a min of 12 months usage on that particular tariff. Problem is it's an incorrect figure in the vast majority of cases. Best thing to do is take a screen shot of your energyhelpline page now and try it again in say 3 months time and observe how very different it looks.Call me Carmine....
