Still trying that old chestnut Cardew. You've lost Cardew - get over it.

What 'old chestnut' the following statement is without doubt accurate, and proof is provided by any comparison website, or anyone wishing to check prices themselves.

"Just in case any newcomer is baffled by the last few pages, all you really need to know is that UW have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK, and if a a relative/friend tries to tell you otherwise - do not believe them.

    Negative bill? Anyone?

    cardew?

Was not energy sure door to door code of practice introduced because a few years ago there were so many complaints because of the tactics used by the big 6 and direct marketing companies it was forced on them to stop all the miss selling at the time. Has it stopped the miss selling though?

Since UW have not had those complaint problems because of self regulation and the methods used not involving door knocking then energy sure isn't required. Distributors can go door knocking if they wish but surely its more professional to work off referral from existing customers so why go door knocking. If you have lots of friends who trust you, like you, know you then they are better people to speak to.

If a company has to resort to door knocking it just shows they are desperate.

How do you explain away the fact that Carmine finds Utility Warehouse to be the cheapest for his requirements?

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and any views expressed here are my own and may not be shared by the company.

Does anyone know if the JS cashback card records your purchases information ongoing for marketing/shopping patterns analysis? I don't like using 'Nectar' type cards for this reason, but not sure whether the UW offering does this? If not then I guess it would make sense for me to get one... lol...
I suspect that all card records will be examined for future promotion targeting purposes.

I use my Utility Warehouse pre payment card and Nectar when I shop at Sainsbury's as it makes sense to me. They can target me with as much advertising as they like, I still buy what *I* want, where *I* want to. And, pay least for my utilities in a way that suits me.

Just in case any newcomer is baffled by Cardew's post which doesn't even tell half the story here, I joined UW recently, have had the UW cashback card since 17/7/09 and have already accrued £36 discount off my first bill by buying the things I would previously have bought on my debit card. This discount will equate to an approx 50% saving on my gas and electric charges.

UW is the ONLY utility supplier that gives customers the opportunity to decrease their bills (in some cases down to NIL) WITHOUT decreasing their usage. Fact.

As previously stated, ALL my customers, residential and commercial, are saving money on their energies compared with their previous suppliers. FACT.

Some have the Cashback card, some don't.

Every time you repost this "claim", expect to have it pointed out how unlucky all your customers were that you got to trhem.

If only they had used the MSE way to switch from their obviously expensive tariffs to the cheapest option, just think how much they would be saving now!

I'm assuming you can categorically state that all your acquaintances, friends, friends of friends, little old lady down the street etc are on the very cheapest tariff commensurate to their usage? Because failure to do this would single you out as a total hypocrite and we wouldn't want that, would we?

He is a Hypocrite Carmine. He knows it. Everyone knows it. Quentin knows he doesn't have any REAL answer to yours or annyone else's points. He's now been shown up for what he really is: a sad individual that's dug himself into a very deep hole and has no idea of how to get out of it. All his tools have been taken away in one fell swoop - CashBack Card and Negative Bill - and is now floundering looking for anything to still spread his hideous venom - a Goauld - and the Goauld were eventually defeated. As has the the AUWF - soundly!

Even his post count has gone down. Why not make it permanent Quentin and let this ridiculous thread die a natural death before you make yourself look even more foolish than you are.

UW are still amongst the most expensive energy suppliers, this is a fact. If you wish to dispute this fact, please provide hard evidence rather than anecdotal evidence.
