UW sales technique is up there with the worst examples of confusion marketing, which I believe all too many potential customers will fall for, especially as its usually a friend telling you these 'facts'.
Complete crap and an insult tome and every other hardworking independent distributors whose only job is to try and help people, the majority of whom (myself included) have had no training n selling and have no wish to sell. The majority also have full time jobs and do their UW business in their spare time.
Disgusting comment.
As I said in my previous post - make your own mind up and stop trying to influence people with your ill informed nonsense based on what others here with their own agenda have to say. Bias on either side has no place here or on any other forum of this type. People want facts that can help them make decisions and not opinions of what you or anyone else thinks are the facts. Nigewick to his credit answered Markuss factually and accurately. He doesn't need to go go through every minutiae of information. You might but most people don't. It's totally unnecessary.

We have seen the videos of sales training (you know, the training you say you haven't had)!
And some of the things uw reps are happy to do:
1) Con your friend into thinking you have a problem at work (when really all you want is to be able to have an objection free presentation, and sign the friend up for multiple utilities).
2) Con people into thinking you are carrying out a survey, when the survey is just a way of leading into a sales pitch.
3) Con people in the street that you are lost, so that you can reward them for helping you by introducing them to uw.
4) (This one is keggs' own suggestion) Con people by leaving a card saying that they have parked carefully next to you (when in fact you have chosen to park next to them, to allow you to stick your card on their car, and written a pto to reveal your business)
5) Con people that uw comes down the list on comparison sites because they are currupt, and uw refuses to pay them to get put up the list.
etc etc.
And you now claim to be disgusted that uw plays on friendships (though it does, both directly and indirectly, and seems happy for us all to see this via the videos) and all are up to is "only trying to help people"?

Possibly because its indefensible.....
Incorrect. I know of people who have benefitted from this guaratntee. Yours truly for one.
Don't preach about things you know nothing about and only get your information from ridiculous sources including your own misperceptions.
You tried to argue that about network marketing and came unstuck. I would have thought you'd learned your lesson by now.

When are you going to apologise to Nigewick to for your libeloous comment. You go away and come back again if you think we have forgotten. We haven't.
As for the rest as usual I have ignored it.

Do tell us how - as from its wording (and from the way your director advises the reps to use it) it's nothing more than a "sales tool":
http://www.networkerplus.co.uk/videos/triple-value-guarantee-wayne-coupland.html
There is no way to make a claim against it, and the small print excludes all possible eventualities.
On the uw reps forum, a disgruntled rep lost a prospect because the guarantee failed when the prospect was getting his gas from british gas cheaper than uw could supply it.
(Part of the guarantee is that "uw is always cheaper than BG").
The disgruntled rep took this up with uw HO, who wriggled out of the guarantee by introducing a new bit of small print (though it's not yet been added to the worthless guarantee's written small print!), the HO reply:Thanks for your email.
The Triple Value Guarantee (TVG) still applies.
However, it only applies when compared with a like for like direct debit tariff and does not allow for any duel fuel discounts, non standard or internet tariffs.
If compared with a like for like tariff the Guarantee applies over a period of a year. It is possible at any given point within that year that the companies covered by the TVG may be cheaper. We monitor our prices against their prices to ensure that over the course of a year the customer would pay less with us than with those companies.
I hope this clarifies how the TVG operates and should be interpreted or explained.
The principled rep comments "Personally, I think this is a bit of a fobb-off, but hey-ho"
Keggs tries to motivate him by deriding the prospect for turning down the (risky) prepay cashcard option:why wouldn't he want 5% off his bills with the cashcard. Some strange people about I must say.0 -
Use your brain Quentin. You've got one I hope. Instead of writing irrelevant rubbish which I won't answer.
When are going to apologise to Nigewick for your disgraceful libellous comment. I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

You claim the worthless guarantee actually has worth, yet when given the chance to enhance its standing, all you can do by way of reply is resort to more personal abuse.
What an advert you are for the uw!0
