Because the company gave me back an extra discount to ensure that they kept their promise in line with their guarantee. The do the same with BT. So as far as I am concerned the guarantee wasn't worthless because I got extra money back on my bill. Is that clear enough for you.

I would have thought you might have worked that for yourself. Obviously not. That's the whole point of the guarantee.

    Details please?

i.e. How much? how often? Does everyone get this? Where is this in UW T & Cs?

Did they compensate for the Dual fuel discount - the direct debit discount - the UW membership fee?

    Let us get this straight!

Are you telling us that you would have paid less for your gas and electricity than with BG?

Perhaps other UW reps might comment?

If you do decide uw is for you, the moneysaving route is to cut out the "indepent distributor" - they say they have over 20,000 of them, so who's to say yours will still be around when you need them!

Instead sign up via a cashback switching site (eg uk power) and get some money from them instead of just lining the reps pocket.
I refer you to your previously posted comment about me "Nigewick, you used to boast you are an ex-copper.

Is this how you used to stitch people up?"

Do you still say that you stand by this quote stating that I committed criminal offences when a Police Officer or will you apologise? I have been with Utility Warehouse for eight years and am still here.

I am an Independent Distributor with Utility Warehouse and any opinions expressed here are my own and may not be shared by the company.

If the product on offer from UW is such a good opportunity, why use such 'slippery' methods when dealing with potential customer's as demonstrated in the videos supplied by my mate?
People go into business to earn money. They will always try and show their goods and services in the best light possible. Sometimes they will exaggerate to the point of telling porkies and that is wrong. A bit like claiming a duck house is for the benefit of one's constituents when an MP. I have seen "Big Al" speak in person and he is an excellent trainer/coach. His methods are soft sell and accept that people have the right to say "no." His "million dollar closes" include "Well, what do you think?" and "What would you like to do now?" Hardly "slippery."

Quentin posed a question of the 'When did you stop beating your Granny?' variety!

Whilst I wish the people on this thread would refrain from personal attacks, it is not libel to phrase a question in such a manner IMO.

It is no different to asking an MP if they have ever submitted a fraudulent claim! That isn't libel; but a statement that a named MP had submitted a fraudulent claim would be libel.

In Quentin's defence he has been far more sinned against than sinned!

Read through this thread for confirmation!

How about a reply to post #3151! Surely that is a more important issue?

That's the whole point of the guarantee. If UW says they will always be cheaper than BG then that's exactly what they do mean based on like for like comparisons. UW doesn't include Internet tariffs or dual fuel tariffs for this. That's stated clearly as far as I am ware.

I transferred to UW from BG a long time ago via the normal channel of filling in a form. As far as I know UW have fulfilled their end of the bargain.

You might want to bring in all sorts of other factors but in my case and in the case of every other member the company keeps its word. It treats all members the same - new and old alike. The same cannot be said for the big 6.

    Dear Cardew

Based on my very first time I joined this forum I was abused by Quentin - first because was another 'UW rep' and second because I kept forgetting to tell people in every post that I was a UW distributor.

As far as I am concerned Quentin is a nasty individual who has his own agenda on this forum which has nothing to do with money saving.
