Rest easy, jimexbox, even I can't see in your pm box. :p Wouldn't say 'laughing stock' (that would be harsh) but your attempt to beat my proposed deal by suggesting making personal calls from work wasn't the most sensible I've seen on here....

Ah, judicious use of what I actually said. I didn't 'propose' anything of the like. I merely posted that your obsession with 0845/0870 numbers was irrelevant due to my own personal circumstances when the occasional 'outside' call is allowed from my place of work. Nowhere did I advocate this as somehow beating your deal.

    Do I get another apology.:p

    Dear Jimexbox

Re read your posts re the discussion about network marketing. Someone who attacks other people for being involved in something like network marketing when they have no real knowledge or understanding about it, is in my view making themselves a laughing stock. Instead of admitting that you have no real knowledge but only what you've possibly heard and been told by other unknowledegable people you tried to squirm your way out of it.

However I will forgive you. You are not the main culprit in this thread. Debiva is completely right in that it is a complete waste of time discussing anything with people whose only real interest is to try and undermine people. If you think that is a balanced view of free speech then God help us.

We might not all believe in what UW can offer people but a growing number of people do - over 280,000 todate. Denigrating people who think this telling them they are basically stupid is an attack on their democratic right to choose. And you talk about free speech.

I denigrate no one, Im simply interested in the 'modus operandi' of UW, which anyone can see in the videos posted by my good mate Quentin.;) Its obvious to me that many of our fellow countrymen are totally ignorant as to energy prices, and the methods used by various utility companies to gain their business, UW included. Im concerned as to the methods used and promises made.

I refer you to your previously posted comment about me "Nigewick, you used to boast you are an ex-copper.

Is this how you used to stitch people up?"

Do you still say that you stand by this quote stating that I committed criminal offences when a Police Officer or will you apologise? Should money savers wish to see deceit in action, they just have to observe the lies you tell. Isn't it about time you offered proof for your statement or apologised?

Absolutely. Nor is choosing a company that provides utilities and services that a person wants and finds best value. This site is about saving money and keeping up the standard of living desired. You do not want to go with Utility Warehouse and that's fine by me. Many other people and I include myself, find that Utility warehouse suits their lifestyle and wants. I get what I want from the company and am happy to work within the "rules" to get my utilities cheaper than with any other company. I am happy because those very "restrictions" fit exactly with my lifestyle and are therefore no bother for me. I am sure that there are lots more who would feel the same. That is the target market and there may be millions of them.

It seems to me that certain members here refuse to accept that we all have free choice as to where we shop.

That's the most ridiculous part of these discussions, Nigel, isn't it? We have posters on here actually trying to tell people where to shop!! I mean, you couldn't make it up, lol. How obsessed do you have to be with denigrating UW to delve that deep into it that you would tell people where to shop?? It's unbelievably weird behaviour! I thank UW for introducing us to Sainsburys if nothing else! We now save pounds on our shopping bill! FACT! Not a supermarket we would have looked at if we weren't spurred into action researching whether the cashback card will be worth it for us.

A cursory glance at the new shopping forum will make people realise that our findings are in no way isolated.* There's loads of serious money savers on here converting to Sainsburys. A double whammy, really.

    * What's the betting the votes for Tesco on there will suddenly shoot up? LOL.

View Poll Results: Which do you think is cheaper?
    Tesco 1 7.14%
    Sainsbury's 11 78.57%
Both about the same 2 14.29%
    Voters: 14.
    Call me Carmine....

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

Is that the royal we, because it would seem you are the most fervent supporter of UW without actually being a member?

Tsk! Tsk! Come now Carmine, isn't it OBVIOUS that only UW people have voted for Sainsbury's??? No doubt 'someone' will be along soon to rubbish the poll if it doesn't support their arguments...........(as in the results of the Which? customer survey) :D

Just to remind you of what you said "Holding a different opinion to yourself is not a crime, or even a misdemeanor." Surely you do not begrudge Carmine giving his opinion and findings?

I agree. It was Jimexbox after all who introduced the notion of free speech on this forum.

Incidentally, is Quentin still holding out on giveing you an apology. Tsk.Tsk.
