More misleading info from a uw rep.
Is this how you used to stitch people up?"
Do you still say that you stand by this quote stating that I committed criminal offences when a Police Officer or will you apologise? Should money savers wish to see deceit in action, they just have to observe the lies you tell.

Yep, me too, only today in fact. Commercial and residential, same person. Very happy customer! :T

Whilst there may be some tariffs that are marginally more expensive than UW; it is an indisputable fact that UW are amongst the most expensive in UK .The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

It's entirely possible to get it down to easily the cheapest on the market (even online tariffs with no whiff of a paper bill and paper tariffs where you get just 2 bills per year) by embracing the initiatives they offer. NO OTHER energy supplier offers this. Plus, as a package of 4 services (gas, electric, phone/BB and 24/7 inclusive calls) it's very hard to beat on the *starting price* let alone after you've embraced those initiatives. Embrace the initiatives on this 'package' and it's absolutely unbeatable in the marketplace.
If its unbeatable why arent you with them??
I cant believe the hypocracy in your posts, if you were actually with UW I could understand your point of view but to constantly bleat on about how great they are but still not sign up is just plain odd. Your excuse for not signing up was you were waiting for cashback from Scottish power I believe, but you first said that MONTHS ago, cashback would have been paid by now so whats your excuse now?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I would like to echo the excellent post number 3084 by Plushchris, showing the complete and utter hypocrisy of Carmine. I couldn’t have put it better myself.
I really don’t know how Carmine has the nerve to return to this thread after his shameful admission on Tuesday evening, 26 May 2009 at 10:08pm in post number 2969 that he wasn’t a UW customer after all, despite previously giving every indication to the contrary in post after post after post after post on this thread. What an absolute phoney.
Carmine should have told everyone his true position in the first place. In effect he has deliberately misled every reader of this thread (on both sides of the argument).0 -
Although Carmine does continue to reiterate his view that money can be saved by switching to UW, I must say that I was never under the impression that he was a UW customer or distributor. I remember reading a while ago in one of his posts where he stated that he hadn't joined UW. Although he hadn't reiterated this during his more recent posts, I assumed nothing had changed.
I guess if people had read far enough back this crazy thread, they would have seen it.
It's good to see that this thread keeps rolling on...0 -
Newbie here, but having spent several days reading through at least the latter part of this thread, I really can't believe why it even still exists.
I joined UW as a customer some time ago and I'm a very happy customer and no, I'm not an agent for the company, and I'm not related to, or a friend of, one. The guy who introduced me to the company is someone I'd had no prior contact with. My brother is also a very happy customer, on the same basis. So I can tell you that the "friends and family" crap I've read her certainly doesn't apply to me.
Everything I've read here reinforces my faith in my decision to become a customer. The people who have the least credibility here certainly aren't the UW reps. My last monthly bill for my UW utilities was just over £16. I very much doubt any other supplier could have matched that, even though this is a "Money Saving" forum.
But please, and this is really my point. I really do wish all the UW reps here would see what's going on. As a 50+ year old mother of 4, I've been around the net for a while, on a variety of different forums related to different subjects, but this is so transparent. You absolutely can not win your argument with these guys. The two main protagonists against UW have each posted an average of 4 or 5 posts *a day*, *every day*, for *more than 3 years*, even without the many sockpuppets that spring up miraculously when the support gets thin. And you think this the only forum they post on? They're probably creating confrontation on sports boards, and TV boards, and music boards, etc etc etc. Its not debate for them, its masturbation. Please ask yourselves what their agenda might be?? They're totally NOT open to your persuasion. All you guys are doing is falling for their trick of perpetuating the discussion so that the negatives appear more often on search engine results. You're playing into their hands.
They're exactly the kind of guys who will claim that the winner of the argument is the one who has the last word. Let that be their problem.
I'm sure there are some lousy UW reps out there. So? I know from personal experience that there are lousy (REALLY REALLY POOR) BG, BT, Sky and Orange customer service people out there too....way way worse, actually. What does slagging off one against the other prove? Some people, like me, will benefit from what the company has to offer. I don't appreciate being regarded as a fool for understanding that. My experience of the company's customer service is outstanding, and I'm happy to say so (and no, I get no financial incentive for doing so)
Wake up and smell the coffee......this discussion has a totally different purpose to what you think it has.0 -
Thank you debdiva. A very clear and level headed post.
