Do you tell your customers that you receive a percentage of their future bill in commission?
Yes. Then I mention that if they want to earn some extra money in their spare time, they can copy what I do. Most are not interested, a few ask for more information and occasionally one will actually sign up.

NigelWick - Thank-you for your assistance in trying to resolve the dispute
You are welcome. Unfortunately we can't win 'em all.

Actually yes. I do for one. I also ask if they themselves would like that small income themselves.

Despite what you might think Jimexbox we are as human as you and equally as polite as you are.

    Best wishes

Yes incorrect, and, I try and keep things simple. Sometimes I feel that you deliberately read words wrongly or try to misunderstand them. Your supposition is obviously that a person is paid for signing another up. This is where you are wrong. Money is only generated when they gather and keep customers.

You simply do not read posts Nigewick.

How do you deduce that is my supposition?

This is what I posted yesterday during the discussion on that very point:
We really are down to semantics, if we are arguing about the way rewards are offered to UW distributors who recruit fellow distributors.

Perhaps we can all agree on the following definition:

"There is a strong financial incentive for a UW distributor to sign up people to also become a UW distributor"

There would hardly be a financial incentive to sign up distributors who didn't get customers!

This thread is just going round in one endless circle, perpetuated by 2 people in the main.

    Two people? Really?

Pray explain how you feel that you, and all the other UW reps, are not helping to continue the discussion.

My hope is that people will read this thread and be aware that UW have some of the most expensive gas and electricity in UK.

Is it your hope that the 'anti -UW' contributors should stop posting and leave the field open for you to preach the TVG gospel?

Aah, but that's the problem on here, Cardew. Both you and Quentin have picked up on what UW distributors haven't said (i.e. the small print) so many times that your above statement is simply not good enough. I think what you should have said is it's in a UW distributor's financial interests to sign up people to also become a UW distributor, as long as they then go onto acquire customers. What your current statement infers is pyramid selling, I believe.
    Call me Carmine....

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

Like I said a couple of days ago, two words, kettle + black.

No one from UW insisted that carmine apologise for accusing me of defrauding my employer.

I've now apologised - even though, to the best of my knowledge, you never actually confirmed that your employer expressly allows you to make personal calls at their expense. What do you want, blood? :p

Not blood, just a good reason why you havent signed up with what you constantly say is the cheapest provider for you on all your utilities, you have been saying this for far longer than it takes for any cashback to be paid so dont use that one.

This thread is just going round in one endless circle, ......... No one has learnt anything of value.

This thread came about as a result of misleading claims/spamming by uw reps across the board.

Moneysavers have recently learnt more of the deceitful nature of the uw modus operandi thanks to seeing the various training/sales/rally videos.

And of course we also saw Mike by the Sea (uw rep) attempt to tell us the videos deceitful sales techniques were all unauthorised "private" videos (and not approved by the uw), which caused a public disagreement in the thead when keggs (uw rep) dived in to correct him, and tell us that all sales technique videos etc on the web have to be approved by uw!

This is of great value to anyone wanting to make a decision regarding whether or not to join the uw in any capacity!

I have to say that if any UW reps have acted innapropriately then you have every right to point that out. Whether that discredits the whole company though is another matter and purely down to your own belief.

Some of the stories about other utility providers are horrific!

I personally believe that the problem with UW is that anybody can join the business opportunity. And my belief is that training is not as thorough as it should be at first! Thus you might get over enthusiastic people with not enough knowledge going out and not giving the full story.

As a professional sales person, I wanted to know the products inside out before I sold them, which is something I always insist on.

I still need to point out though that by doing this I know for a fact that UW can save people money, and as this is a money saving forum that is still the key issue. There are dearer tariffs than UW's and that is undisputable, I have seen them with my own eyes.
