arteta1878, if you wish to see an example of evading a question, ask Quentin who he would recommend as a reputable energy supplier that he personally uses (he pretends to ignore me, lol).
Ps Anyone on here with British Gas? Reputable?

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

But why would money savers take expensive services in return for inclusive calls. (They aren't "free") - you are paying for them via your membership fees/expensive utilities.
The cashback card is a misnomer - you don't get cashback, just discount off the expensive utilities!
Moneysavers can do much better getting their utilities at the best prices, taking advantage of cashbacks for switching and using proper casshback credit (or prepay) cards to get cashback on their shopping.0 -
arteta1878 wrote: »I tell them what I have already told you, that prices are different everywhere. UW prices are competative, which I believe they are.....
How do you define "competative"?
The prices don't include your monthly membership fee, and by uw's own admission don't attempt to "compete" with any dual fuel tariffs or cheaper on line tariffs.
And the cashback available from uw for signing up and cutting out the uw rep and signing up via a switching site never gets anywhere near the £101/£70 regularly on offer from Scottish Power/Eon!0 -
I see the cashback card as an easier, less convoluted method of getting your utilities cheaper than switching 4 times per year (and everyone knows I've done this regularly). The cashback card discount based on our current spend would be approx £330 per year. Even on a good year switching 4 times I've never got that amount. Plus the problem being with switching 4 times per year nowadays that Quentin conveniently forgets to mention is to avoid the exit fee tariffs (normally each energy supplier's cheapest tariffs now have exit fees) you invariably have to go onto their most expensive tariffs. That sort of cuts into the potential savings.
PS Cheapest [STRIKE]Spanish[/STRIKE] Scottish Power tariff that doesn't have an exit fee? Anyone?Call me Carmine....

Quentin, there are dearer tariffs and there are cheaper tariffs, and if it comes out dearer it's simple, the customer would not sign up, and I would not sign them up.
You might be surprised to hear this....and wait for this, it may shock you! I have actually found lots of customers that were paying more for their gas and electric than they would have been doing from UW, even with the membership fee it still worked out cheaper, so they switched! Shock horror!
Once you manage to get your head round that, we might be able to move this on.
But in summary, and I will keep it simple for you....
1. I found customers who were paying dearer tariffs and switched them.
2. They then also switched their landline as it was cheaper than what they were paying.
3. They realised at that point they might as well move their broadband too and have the ease of 1 bill and the price of Broadcall was competative compared to what they were already paying.
4. Some of them thought the cashback card would also be a good idea as they sometimes shopped at Sainsburys, and theyrealised that every time they did this it would take further money off their utility bills.
Have I explained that simple enough for you? It's true honest!0 -
You have explained how you get customers.
But not answered the points raised.0 -
You did say:
I posted some disreputable facts about the uw, which you chose to ignore, and instead resorted to this personal attack.
(But if you read the thread you'll see we see this as the norm for uw reps who get challenged here when they make claims like that!)
It's hardly a personal attack, gosh you seem so sensitive!
As for the marketing methods etc..I'm not going to get into a debate about what you believe to be right or wrong, as I can clearly see that it's not for you and you make your point.0 -

I have to say arteta1878 you are giving a Quentin a hard time. So hard he appears to be having trouble answering you back this time. Perhaps he'' see the light afterall.
I wouldn't place a bet though.
Best of luck

No, (apart from describing how you sell your expensive energy - to people currently paying even more for them), you haven't addressed any of the points raised in answer to your posts.
See points raised in posts 2980, 2981,2990, 2992, 2993!
And bearing in mind this is a moneysaving site, surely should anyone discover uw is the cheapest as you say, then shouldn't they join via a cashback switching site rather than via a rep (and get the signing on cashback themselves, rather than line the rep's pockets)?0
