. Although you don't like the term, in this respect UW operates like a pyramid scheme. i.e. Distributor A recruits Distributor B, B recruits C etc etc.

Exactly, and UW salesmen are encouraged to recruit others, not because of any altruistic reason to bring joy, or Christianity. The do so because they cream a little back off the sales of other UW salesman they sign up.

The growth of UW is dependent on recruiting more salesman, not customers. Without new salesman who 'help' their friends see the light there are no new customers, or very few. Most companies grow their business first, then take on staff when necessary, with UW its the other way round.

If you think that's sustainable, good.

jimexbox stated that the growth pattern is unsustainable. Although you don't like the term, in this respect UW operates like a pyramid scheme. i.e. Distributor A recruits Distributor B, B recruits C etc etc.

With all due respect Cardew you don't know anything about network marketing - only what your preconceptions tell you.

Every organisation in the world is built in the shape of a pyrmaid. I's the most stable structure in the world. The people who first used the phrase pyramid scheme obviously forgot this.

Quentin this is the first and only time I will answer you. No body gets paid for rectuiting didtributors. That's ILLEGAL. Distibutors get paid as outlined above. They get paid for developing their businesses but they don't get paid for signing another distributor. Stop trying to suggest things that aren't true. But then again that's par for the course for you isn't it.

When are you going to apologise to Nigewick for the potentially libellous accusation.

Again a demonstrably ridiculous response from an unknowledgeable individual. Educate yourself instead of pretending you know what you are talking about when the reality is you don't.

You can learn a lot from reading and resaerching. You learn more by doing.

Instead of just making sweeping statements, please take the time to refute each sentence.

Before I do, (as you appear so knowledgeable) do everyone a favour and describe in detail exactly how a pyramisd scheme works then describe in detail how a network marketing system works then highlight the differences.

Do you read my posts? Where have I said UW operate a pyramid selling scheme? I simply state that I believe that without new UW salesman, customer growth would grind to a virtual halt. Would you agree?

No, it is true. Seen in many videos. (And were it not true, then why are you encouraged to go and sign up new distributors?)

All for us all to see here (where a director is seen signing up her friend)

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3343604748168979446

She first tells of the "good money to be had for signing up new customers. But to make her friend drool, she moves on to show how the big money is to be made (using the martini presentation).

She then goes on to the "really really interesting bit" (fast forward to 3 mins 13 secs if you can't be bothered to listen to the customer gathering speil).

John is asked to think of 3 people who he could sign up as distributors. Then told if he can do this he will get £1000, plus more. (At the thought of more, John is now drooling). John is to be paid an ongoing commission via his 3 friends (who by the end of the presentation have each recruited 3 more friends, all earning money for John at the top of the pyramid). In no time at all, John thinks he will be getting commission from 900 accounts down the layers of the pyramid.

That's not an answer. You and Cardew both implied you both knew what network marketing was and drew similarities to pyramid schemes (even if you didn't actually say it). I have asked for a detailed description of both and for the differences to be highlighted.

Once you do this you will be able to answer you own question.

    It's not an unreasonable request.

    Best wishes

Whats unreasonable is that you make sweeping statements criticising posts which happen to offend you. Then when asked to take specific quotes and answer them in a calm fashion. You revert to 'you tell me first' game, one which my daughter plays. Sad.

That again isn't an answer. All I want to know is what I have asked. Just give me and everyone here a detailed description of what a pyramid scheme is and what network marketing is and the differences between them.

You started this ridiculous thread after all by making a comment that UW's business model is unsustainable. If you think your view is correct then simply prove it by doing what I've asked you to do. That to my mind is not unreasonable.

It's very easy to attack others but not so easy to prove why those attacks have any basis in fact. If you think you know what the facts are then all I have asked is that you state those facts.

    Best wishes
    Steve
