Can't really see how conning your friends into giving you some time helping you practice something for work (when your real agenda is to sign them up for multiple utilities) makes your feel better with your life. But each to his own.

Until such time as one of the detractors comes up with a cheaper alternative to my proposed deal (crikey, I've posted it enough, you can't miss it
) then let's cut the c.rap about the talk about conning etc, shall we? I guess I'm saying put up or shut up. Any takers?
IIRC, the only sensible 'challenge' came from SwanJon but even that included still taking 3 UW services, the rest (not that there have actually been 'many', just lots of hot air and bluster) were not really in any way credible (certainly the 'make personal calls from work' one and the bloke with the 'amazing BT deal' but the 'dodgy' calculator not to mention his own dedicated UW/French & Saunders channel on his TV who appears to have now scuttled away from the thread ). Let's have it. You say UW is expensive, I've costed my proposed deal and believe it to be the cheapest on the market for me, bar none. My circs will in no way be unique so it's entirely possible it's also the cheapest for millions of other people. What are you waiting for?Call me Carmine....

Hi Carmine
As you know I rarely post here now. Just wanted to say that the fact that no detractor took you up (including the master detractors) just shows who the real con artists are. And it isn't UW.
People here have been having a go at big Al. Can I add another 2 sorts of people.
Those who take charge of their own lives and those who are controlled by others. Being in control of my own life through network / referral marketing and giving something of value to other people is far preferable to working for someone else who pays me just enough to stop me leaving unless of course I get made redundant (something happening a lot I notice).
Good luck Carmine but I doubt you'll get a naswer to your relevant question.
Steve

Working as a uw rep and lapping up the speakers at their rallys has warped your understanding of what they do, and how low they want you stoop to get customers.
How is contacting your friends to help you out practising for work when you are really intending to sign them up to multiple utilities as demonstrated in the video not a con to any normal person?
They even put the con in writing, just in case any of the reps don't realise what it's all about:Here's another video that demonstrates Group Director, Shannon Griffin booking a 'practice appointment', no doubt with a view to signing up a multi-service customer for at least four services, because that's what the top distributors do.

Carmine are you still fixated with 0845/0870 numbers?
I mean how many folk actually choose their telecom suppliers because of that? How many 'normal' folk ring so many 0870/0845 numbers that the major point of a telecom contract must be free calls to such numbers? Ive probably used such a number once in 6 months. My gas/electric and phone account are handled online and Ive never had to ring my water supplier up.
So honest mate, Im sitting here wondering what sort of life an individual must live, how out of sync with normal society that the overriding factor must be free calls to such numbers. In the past its made up such an insignificant amount on my bill, its never even registered as an issue. I prefer to concentrate on actually money saving, rather than an area that would save me very little if anything.0 -

Thanks for quoting:1carminestocky wrote: »and the bloke with the 'amazing BT deal' but the 'dodgy' calculator
Obviously our Yorkshire troll is rather naive if he thinks that all BT customers actually pay the prices quoted on the BT website. You only need to have another ISP offering an LLU BB service on your exchange area to get the cut price BT offers. e.g. you can BT BB option 3 for £15.16, option BB 2 for £13.50 and option 1 BB for £7.33. Similarly most savvy Virgin Media customers don't pay the quoted prices and are given retention deals.

Has Cardew sent you to fight his battles now? The point is your argument is based on certain individual people getting special offers. My projected deal includes NO 'special offers' (Hell, I haven't even included the projected £433 discount for using the cashback card in a desperate attempt to make it easier for you lot, lol. Now THERE'S what I call a special offer!).
And you aren't exactly a massive believer in BTs value for money packages yourself, are you?

Come on, smarty pants(justified, I feel, as you are intent on labelling me the Troll. In fact, you've now progressed to a geographic version, I'm now the 'Yorkshire Troll', I see  ), stop blowing out of your derriere and rise to the challenge.

You really mustn't tell him these things about BT. He has spent the past 100 posts telling me I am really am on option1, my maths is wrong, I can't read my bill etc.
Apart from getting the special 3 month offers at the beginning of each contract, I get my Option 2 plus free calls etc etc etc for £31.73 a month and have never paid the full quoted price on the website for years, but of course he can't accept that someone else could be correct.
You note that the arch critic of all energy companies is now embracing one of the most expensive in UK.
Neither he or any of the vested interests on this thread will state how many hundreds of pounds extra he will pay for gas and electricity, or give a price that UW would charge for my BT package.
They know, we know, and anyone who has a clue about prices knows, that UW are very very expensive and it is only that they sell such an overpriced product to unsuspecting friends and family that lets them keep up this charade that UW have competitive prices.0 -
Carmine.
How much cheaper could you get your gas and electricity rather than obtaining it from UW?
How much would my BT package cost from UW?0
