Could Big Al 'manipulate' someone's mind to the extent that they add £20.54, £11.25 and £4.95 together and get £31.73, I wonder? :p

  • Oh dear, what have I just done...

"I've just found out" that I'm not going to get back the minutes of my life I spent watching Big Al's video.

"There are two types of people in the world", the type that feel uncomfortable watching that video and the type that feel really uncomfortable watching that video.

"If"... I ever catch myself watching another of those videos, "then" I swear I will eat my cat.

Having said that, he had a lot of people at that event and I'm sure he's making a lot of money, so he is doing something right. The fact that I watched to the end of the video says something about how he delivered the information and made me think that I may gain something useful by continuing to listen to him.

Even flogging his £20 word sequence CDs at the end was interesting. He indicated that there were only 400 available and not enough for everyone at the event (effectively encouraging them to go and get one quickly before they miss out).

No, there must be three types - the two you mention plus the NigeWicks from UW who see it all as good stuff and a "joke".

I can't say I've ever heard of the bloke but I thought he was kind of entertaining, personally. I'm assuming he's loaded? :D

Edit: Anyone able to do the 'draw number 6 with your right hand and rotate your right foot clock wise' challenge? I certainly can't. Very good.

I challenge you to say summat funny, Quentin. A joke, maybe? Come on, you must know one. Your posts are just so relentlessly strident and uptight. Relax, man, you're on the net.

Here's an attempt to lighten your mood.

    How bl**dy bizarre!

When I tried doing that, I ended up writing 666 with my right hand, whilst my right foot spelt out the name "Big Al".

I have to say, out of all of the threads on MSE, this is by far my favourite and one that I always visit (even if I don't post anything). I'm not particularly chomping at the bit to become a UW customer and I'm certainly never going to be a UW distributor. However, the thread seems to have a great mix of characters that keep it going.

I'm not really sure why I'm posting, I guess I just wanted to say thank you to all for contributing to a great thread.

Was it before or after you heard big al on manipulating prospects minds at the uw rally that you realised you had a "vocation" to be a uw rep?

    Hi Quentin

That's a bit presumptive, even for you. I would class my role as a "uw rep" to be more of an amelioratory pastime, rather than my profession / vocation. ;)
