Wooahh...I see we are back to the 'original' thread.
Anything to do with getting Cardew out of that massive hole he's just dug for himself in the 'alternative' thread, perchance?

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
The uw has a sample bill for us all to admire on its website:
https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/home/Benefits/The_bill.taf
Almost needless to say, it looks hopeless.
The bill is from June (when the vat rate was 17.5%), but it seems from scrutinising the bill that the uw wrongly overcharges its members over VAT:
1) They claim their internet charge includes VAT, but the customer gets VAT added to his "broadcall"
2) VAT is normally only charged at 5% on energy. Though apparently not with the UW's unique billing system. Everything (gas, electricity, membership fee etc) gets VAT at the top rate added on.
Dear Quentin
Well spotted. It looks like somebody wasn't proof-reading the example bill when it was put on the site. Thank you for pointing it out, I will let them know and hopefully they will be able to correct it for you.
Obviously, it won't be necessary to check our bills to ensure that the correct VAT rates have been applied, as it is. (Yes, I do check!).
Thanks again

More confusion - you first tell us it's "obviously" not necessary to check the bills, but confess you in fact do????
I trust when applying for your brownie points over this, you will point out to your upline manager that the uw regularly misleads people here (via misleading posts, reps pretending to be happy customers etc) and this is just an example of how shoddy they are.
But he probably won't care - we've all seen the attitude of the uw towards accuracy, and we know they are immune from the ASA who don't deal with misleading ads on websites!
And don't forget this is the company who gets its reps to fork out £40 for a pair of tickets to attend the rally and cheer on big al for showing you how to manipulate prospects minds, and show you how to "take advantage of other peoples programing so that they beleive what you say", and "Control their mind and freeze their brain" . Not too much concern for accurate detail (or even spelling!) there either!

Hi Quentin
Gosh, that was a lot to get off your chest, and I thought we were discussing the sample bill.
In response to your confusion, I tend to check all my bills (sad, I know). I also do a lot of analysis of billings etc. as part of my profession / vocation.Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught - Sir Winston Churchill0 -
Was it before or after you heard big al on manipulating prospects minds at the uw rally that you realised you had a "vocation" to be a uw rep?0

you heard big al on manipulating prospects mindsThe mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Anyone bothering to view the video will see who is telling the truth!
This is the blurb that accompanies it:Big Al (Tom Schreiter) is one the best know, most effective network marketing trainers in the World and at Express Day 2008, he did the Company proud with an outstanding presentation covering approaches that result in lots of rejection free presentations."Ready to go out talking with some prospects", said Big Al, before opening the controversial idea that we should all be manipulating the minds of other people for fun and profit.
Big Al went on to discuss the concept that certain word sequences 'open doors' and demand the instant attention of others and that by using these word sequences, we can 'take control' of the minds of our prospects, whilst paving the way for a rejection free presentation.
This is an outstanding video and essential viewing (again and again) for anyone wishing to stop working hard and start working effectively!
Does that sound the intro to a joker?0 -
How about you, NigeWick - did you get a vocation to be a uw rep, like M b t S?
And was it after listening to bog al at the uw reps rally?
Is he the Billy Graham of pyramid selling?0
