I get my electricity, gas, phone line, broadband and mobile phone from the Utility Warehouse because I get good service, and, by using my pre payment card I get those utilities at a lower cost than I can with any other company. I also get a paper bill every month that is quite easy to understand. I made a personal choice to go with this company because of the benefits I get. I accept that others will not want the restrictions placed on their shopping habits by the card and they will choose to go elsewhere. The overall deal I get is the best choice for me in my circumstances.
I am an Independent Distributor with Utility Warehouse and any opinions expressed her are my own and may not be shared by the company.
You came out with exactly the same line before the pre-payment card was available.
Which ever way you try to dress it up, the prices UW charge for gas and electricity are amongst the highest in UK, and their last price reduction of 2% is derisory and their guarantee is simply worthless.
If spending £thousands on the cashcard suits your purpose, or anyone else - then fine.0 -
How many have you met and spoken to? Unless you have talked to a large number, you are obviously trying to mislead by using generalisations that are completely unfounded.
We have seen thousands of them all lapping up big al's lecture on mind manipulation at the rally
http://www.networkerplus.co.uk/videos/rejection-free-presentation-big-al.html
Plus the training videos where they are encouraged to keep it simple (this seems to mean don't get involved in the small print, tell them they will save £500 to £600 by signing up, tell them there is a guarantee (but never never tell them the small print that makes it worthless, never mention the monthly club fee, do get a card number (that we can store for future use should they ever try and stop their dd to resolve a dispute), liberally use extracts from "Which" (even though we aren't allowed to use it as a sales tool), etc etc.
This is supposedly a "live" session with 2 professional "contacts", filmed as it happened:

And of course we have experienced many reps first hand from their many cynical visits to this forum to try and recruit from the vast number of people looking through the threads.0 -

I did however state that I got the best deal for me in my circumstances, and, when I said that, it was true. As I got the best deal for me before the (in actual fact over 2%) decrease in electricity and gas prices I believe that I am getting excellent value for money. Others agree with me on this subject. You do not and that is fine by me.The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

We?
Disgruntled UW distributor by any chance? You know you're supposed to declare any interest when you post in this thread don't you?

The equivalent phone/BB/calls package that I will be getting with my UW package would cost £12.62 per month more with TalkTalk. And you would be locked into an 18 month min. term contract. There isn't a gas & leccy tariff (online or paper) on my usage that would save me that much compared to UW. And that's without even counting the cashback card discount. A great package IMO.
Great news on my usage front, BTW! Both my sons are now in full time employment (eldest going to Uni in September) and we have already seen a dramatic fall in leccy consumption! Approx 25% - the profligate blighters! Next 12 months leccy consumption could come in at 4800 kwhs or thereabouts as opposed to previous 6000 kws! It actually makes the UW deal even better for us, proportionately, tbh.Call me Carmine....

I do like Big Al. But, aren't you supposed to register in order to gain access access to their videos?
I just found out how to get an instant discount on my utilities every time I shop at Sainsbury's and a couple of dozen other stores. Is your mind manipulated yet? Huh? Is it?The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

regardless of cynical accusations of cynicism, I have yet to see a decent suggestion for a better deal than the one I'm on.

As usual, you attempt to mislead.
You will see in the post you quote an extract from,(making your extract out of context) I used "WE" as in the UW instructing you reps how to present:they are encouraged to keep it simple (this seems to mean don't get involved in the small print, tell them they will save £500 to £600 by signing up, tell them there is a guarantee (but never never tell them the small print that makes it worthless, never mention the monthly club fee, do get a card number (that we can store for future use should they ever try and stop their dd to resolve a dispute), liberally use extracts from "Which" (even though we aren't allowed to use it as a sales tool), etc etc.0 -
Anyway, about these npower annual discounts....:D
PS Can I just also thank UW for being directly responsible for us discovering that a 0.35p FAIRTRADE tea bag actually DOES exist? :eek:Call me Carmine....

About those links you have posted. Did you read this "All content within this site is subject to copyright - access to which is only available to registered members." and clear your usage with the site owner(s) before posting them?
There are two types of people in the world. Those who get discount on their utility bills by shopping at Sainsbury's and a couple of dozen other stores and those who don't. I really like getting money off my utility bills, do you? Surely your mind must be manipulated by now?!
