hmm... lets see... £5 - £45 bonus for signing up a customer. Not vast wealth with only modest numbers of customers.............£1000ish potential bonuses if you can get 50 customers and 3 distributors within 60 days. Each individual reader can form their own view on whether this counts as modest numbers. I dispute any claim that a one off £1000 bonus constitutes vast wealth.
In fact the martini presentation goes quickly from saying make £5 just for signing up a customer to gas and electricity to getting £1000 bonus on top of all the riches for getting 3 friends to join up.
To someone thinking getting £5 is good money, then the vast riches and the grand would seem like vast wealth!
But how is your post accusing me of misleading an answer to me saying the martini presentation is similar to the feature of all pyramid presentations:one thing that they all have in common, they will draw charts showing vast wealth in short time, from, it would appear, quite modest numbers of people in your downline.
That is undeniably a feature of the uw presentation!0 -
yes. Although I believe another distributor from an IT background helped him create it.
More accusations. I should note as independent distributors we are expressly forbidden from creating and using our own marketing materials unless we get them checked out by head office first. It's possible some distributors ignore this (at least until they get their distributorship terminated)
Please provide proof that UW knowingly allowed IDs to use unofficial leaflets or retract your accusation (i know you won't, have to give you the opportunity though).
You again attempt to mislead by implying UW is complicit in this arrangement. It seemed to me that Mr Egan is a UW distributor. He probably neglected to mention that he was also a director of UK power in his application. His link to his UW hosted site appears to me to be a breach of his contract with UW. If anybody is at fault here it seems likely that it is UK power or Mr Egan. Yet you persist in blaming UW. Will you blame them for global warming and children starving in africa too?
How about we set aside the aimless nitpicking and circular arguments and try to find a utility supplier that offers it's long term customers a better service and range of benefits than UW?

The part of my reply you decided not to include in your quote explained exactly why it is NOT a feature of the uw presentation. Your failure to include that part in your quote or address it in your response further implies your intention to mislead readers into believing that UW operate an illegal pyramid scam.
Never mind that it's a PLC company with public accounts, FTSE 250 company, company of the year award etc. Care to estimate the odds for such a company to be operating an illegal trading scheme and getting away with it for as long as UW have been operating?

Anybody like to buy a pyramid?
I know a bloke who's got one going cheap. Only one previous owner and in a desirable location.
Needs a little renovation but could be worth a fortune with a little care and attention.Quentin's Cashback Card?

Or to show the rest of the quote so as to not be misleading:A pyramid presentation may take many forms, but there is one thing that they all have in common, they will draw charts showing vast wealth in short time, from, it would appear, quite modest numbers of people in your downline. A lot of schemes ask for a draconian "confidentiality" or "secrecy" clause. This is bunk. It means nothing and will not protect the scam from anyone who knows the rules, but they do scare lay people.
The other key feature of a pyramid is that it MUST have new members to keep it growing. If it stops growing it dies because the recent recruits are unhappy, as they realise that they have paid out , and won't get any money. ( Compare this to a genuine MLM. Imagine that you build an organisation of 50 people, and then stop building. Do the new recruits lose? No, because they are selling product to the public. They do not NEED new downline, though such downline may well be desirable).
I think this demonstrates the "misleading" aspect very well. I guess there wasn't time to read or include the next paragraph as it would make the argument fallacious.Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught - Sir Winston Churchill0 -

on top of what riches?then the vast riches and the grand would seem like vast wealth!
and where do the 'vast riches' here come from?
Are you just making stuff up now? Or are you losing it?
Go have a lie down or something... the board will still be here when you're feeling better - health's more important etc.

I think he has already gone for a lie down. The nurse told him to come away from computer for a while.
She said, "You are getting worked up again Quentin",
"If you don't lie down you will have one of your fits again",
"The Doctor will come and have to give you your medicine that gives you a bad stomach",
"Then I'll have to give you an enema with the garden hose."Quentin's Cashback Card?
