When you say doing business do you mean becoming a distributor or just taking your supply from them?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • A distributor
    NatWest Loan - £12,090.06 Mum/Dad - £14,750 TOTAL £26,840.06
    As of 01/01/2010 - DFW Date - 01/12/2014 59 MONTHS TO GO
  • 1carminestocky puts on standard issue tin helmet, LOL. It's Utility WAREhouse, btw. But maybe that's a good idea spelling it like that as this thread may not now register with Quentin's UW Posting Alarm (TM)... :D

Just wait a while and all will become clearer, lol :D

PS As previously stated, I will definitely join this company if my serial switching for cashback (TM) is effectively stopped by the Big 6 (most of them are inserting cancellation charges into their tariffs). Reason? Their prices are *starting points* for people like myself (and also should be starting points for all serious moneysavers). All the other energy company's prices are *end points*, i.e. short of them reducing their prices and/or you reducing your consumption there's no chance of that price coming down...

You only need to search MSE for utility warehouse to find out all about them and their reps who are known to come here to tout for business, mislead us with their claims, pretend to be satisfied customers without declaring their interest etc etc

    *puts diplomatic hat on*

Not sure what you have been told but the "Guarentee" you speak of is worthless and NO guarentee of being the cheapest merely "Competitive" whatever that means!

Type in your details into a comparison site and put in your usage as 8000 kwh for gas and 1000 kwh a year for electric (thats a fairly low usage) Utility warehouse is highly unlikely to come top of the table without knowing prices in all regions I would hazard a guess it would be Npower and Ebico that appear in the top 3

As far as customer service is concerned I dont believe I've really heard many complaints in that department the majority of complaints people have are with the bizarre and misleading claims the company and its distributors make. Sometimes this is simply because the distributors are just ill-informed by the company and sometimes they just have no idea what they are doing.

  • Agreed about ALL energy comapny's claims - that's all they are, claims. Just check on all the Big 6's home pages and you see they all *claim* to save you money by signing up to a certain tariff. Like UW, it's all baloney, effectively, and 'covered' in each company's small print. Marekting copy. Poetic licence. For me, and taking into account what I am prepared to do, UW is definitely the cheapest energy supplier for me - no ifs or buts, I *guarantee* it. Which means I can't say the same about any other energy company.

  • I previously worked for E-on as a rep, to be honest when someone said utility warehouse it used to be, OH cant beat that.
Having worked for an energy company before and with the uw being linked with my mortgage and protection advising I wouldnt like to balls it up. I wanna be doing everything by the book, as I dont wanna tarnish my other services that I can offer
