I was interested in the telephony, but we were forced into this thread as MSE don't allow anything about UW to be discussed anywhere else on here. After telephony and discount card were agreed to be a good package, i signed up for them. I then admitted i was a customer. I did not 'let it slip' as Cardew says, i deliberately informed the thread. I am not a gas/electricity customer, but openly think UW is ok for those whose situation it fits. I vehemently deny being a distributor as i'm not. Cardew made that allegation as early as my 3rd post, that's why he's not my best buddy. The rest of you just dance to his tune. Get your facts right before making accusations people because if you don't there's going to trouble. OK?
Are you related to a distributor then ?0 -
Hi Uptomyeyeballs.
For someone who just has landline and cashback card with Telecom Plus, and no other vested interest you do seem to spend a lot of time here defending their interests, and apparentlytrying to get the thread closed down. Is it any wonder people might think you have an ulterior motive.0 -

This is a discussion forum where posters express their opinions. As I have said before if you don't like it here, then don't visit the forum and don't make threats to those that do. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
The Bit that UW people gloss over when they talk about Which recommending them.
"Excellent customer service and clear bills helped smaller companies come top of the league, with newcomer Good Energy getting an impressive customer score of 79%, closely followed by Utility Warehouse (75%) and Ebico (73%).
Which? members felt they got value for money, but these smaller suppliers do charge significantly more for gas and electricity than the ‘big six’ suppliers: British Gas, Npower, Scottish Power, Scottish and Southern, EDF and Eon."

Of course you have.
However you keep stating that you come here to wind people up, enjoy seeing them bite etc.
Your claims to not be a customer, then having to admit you are, and your denial that you are a UW salesman - together with hundreds of posts all attempting to praise UW - give you no plausibility whatsoever.
For someone on an internet forum, to get upset because people do not believe you is childish.
I don't believe you - is that perfectly clear?
Now just stick to discussing UW's very high prices.0 -
Having seen the plus and negs of UW being a customer (soon to be ex customer) I think this thread may have now run its course.
The ongoing battle is becoming tedious. Believe it or not i have been a UW customer for over 2 years, i have found out the hard way that for dual fuel they are bleeding expensive and the customer service is not up to much. I am now in the middle of a change to EDF. Cardew's info on the figures for UW's dual fuel tariff is fairly accurate for me. Once I had researched it as well I could see the point he was making.
Over recent weeks though I think we have lost sight of the point of this thread. New subscribers to this thread will have lost their way a long time ago as a result of some of you losing yours in this thread. They may be turning away as a result of the ongoing bickering.
This thread has gone from being an informative discussion thread to accusations, threats and vitriol being bandied about.
Why don't you all just agree to disagree now?
It may be better to close this thread down if it makes everyone take a step back and chill a bit.
Please don't anyone shoot me for this. Just thought it needed stating (ducks below the parapet as the missiles start being flung)

That of course is the only issue worth discussing.
Whilst I agree with you that the thread has been tedious for some while, it is a tactic by the UW salesmen to divert the thread away from UW's high prices, and if possible get the thread suspended or closed.
It is very much in their interests to censor any discussion on UW prices.0 -

All you do is get a credit for using the cashback card and for this you have to use specific shops, and then you use the credit to reduce your expensive energy bills, and your other utility bills.
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I shop at shops that I always have. 5% of what I spend in some of them there goes against my utility bills.......Because of the amount I spend in these places, I pay less for my utilities than I would with any other company or combinationof companies.
As previously posted when you make this claim, it is wrong and misleading to say you "pay less" for your utilities.
You accept that UW energy is in fact very expensive!
All you are doing is the busy fool scenario - allowing UW to use your earned shopping discount to partly pay your bill.
You would truly "pay less" for your energy by buying it elsewhere (you can get it between 20 and 30+% cheaper elsewhere, as you know), and keeping your shopping discount for yourself!0
