You're all petrified aren't you?
I post a personal fact and you get all hot under the collar. Why are you so petrified of my own little fact? As i've already said, it applies to my level of usage, but it's still true. What is it about the truth you are frightened of?
You simply don't understand do you?
The purpose of posting is to make the position clear to other readers that you have a vested interest in promoting UW and point out that any present UW gas and electricity customer is paying way over the odds, and anyone contemplating joining UW is crazy if they are intent on money saving.
You are fully aware of just how much more expensive UW are than other companies, so the posts are hardly for your benefit. However your posts give us the opportunity to, yet again, tell new readers of the true position about UW's extremely high prices.0 -

Always worth repeating for the benefit of newcomers - you admit that you come and post in this thread just to wind us up.0 -
Morning All
As some may know I changed supplier from UW to EDF in October last year and to date I still haven't had any cashback! I think it was £30.00 per fuel, so £60.00 in total. I was told that maybe I would have to wait until I had received my first bill, which I had at the beginning of Feb, but still nothing!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Not only a WUM here, but a liar:
You were the one who actually used your so called "independence" to insist you had no connections at all with uw!
This was your protest when it was suggested your interest in uw was something more than "passing":uptomyeyeballs wrote: »Not even a customer, let alone a rep. No affiliation at all. None of my my family are members of UW and I don't subscribe to Which? In fact, I couldn't be more independent.
Yet within weeks of that post you were telling us how much your brother saves using his risky card, and then again weeks after again assuring us you had no connections you now regularly tell us of your own savings!0 -
For the vast majority of UK households, dual fuel must offer the best deal so I do think it is more relevant to discuss this option rather than base the discussion on the minority of households who may be better off not taking dual fuel.
Where I live, with my consumption (15,000 kWh gas and 2,600 kWh electricity), the currently cheapest dual-fuel supplier is OVO at £682. (UW comes at 57th place with £862.)
If I look at the fuels separately, British Gas is cheapest for Gas at £477 (UW comes in 8th place). EdF is cheapest for electricity at £249 (UW 65th).
So, if I were looking to pick a supplier today, I would go for OVO and pay £682. Or, I could look at gas and electricity separately, pick the cheapest for both and end up paying £726 or 6% more.
Of course, if I could find more than £180 worth of savings from taking other services and using the right grocery stores etc., I would be better off going with UW. In my case, having done the maths, there is no way that could happen, so UW is not for me.

Thats a well reasoned post! When I compared new tariffs, I compared duel fuel and single. Taking duel fuel did work out cheaper, but not as much as I thought it would. I'm not sure how happy some will be on here that UW comes so close to the top for gas, you may be accused of having a 'vested interest' :rotfl::heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Why?
LeifGR's findings are in line with what we have been saying for years.
If he got gas and electricity from UW he would pay £180 or 26.39% more than the cheapest tariff.
Leif's consumption is quite a bit below average. The average user(Midlands) would pay £285 or 33.5% more with UW than the cheapest(OVO)
On my above average consumption I would pay £601 or 40.4% more with UW than the cheapest available tariff(OVO)0 -

Again with the average user!! Who is that? I have seen countless times on here people saying that UW don't appear for pages and pages, so them being ranked at number 8 is a surprise.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
