The price reduction on electricity by UW this year means anyone spending £1000 with them will now only pay £999.
Or for average users 3300kwh/pa
EDF Online S@ver 6 £315.25
UW £433.23
even adding on the cancellation fee of £25 EDF are still over 20% cheaper and they haven't reduced their prices.
I thought the table was inaccurate? How can we trust anything it says!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

would be easier to say prices for gas rose by over 40% across all companies and regions during 2008. since then they have come down an average 18%.
wholesale prices in Euros have come down around 47% (Euros) in the same period and the value of the £ has dropped around 20% against the Euro in the same time period.0 -

Oops, don't know how I missed that. Agopolies.
It was actually quite funny to think you were boasting of a price cut worth £1 in every £1000
ps I had to look up Agopolies, apparently it means Moredancie0 -

However you use electricity as well, and of course UW don't give any dual fuel deductions.
However much you try and make UW look reasonably priced,(I wonder why!!!) the fact remains that they are just about the most expensive in UK for most people.
Even with your very low gas and electricity consumption they will be, what? 25% more than the cheapest tariff??0 -
uptomyeyeballs wrote: »For my usage, UW gas is the cheapest tariff (give or take a couple of quid). Not trying to apply it to the rest of the british population like you are, i'm just stating a fact. It's indisputable. I'll say it again. For my usage, UW gas is the cheapest tariff.
It was far too quiet on here and I thought i'd wake you up. And I notice, you managed to get your little insinuation in too, well done.
So it is also indisputable that even on your very low consumption of 8,600kWh gas and 2,000kWh electricity obtained from UW you would pay 24.36% more than from the cheapest supplier.
It is for the benefit of the "rest of the British population"(some of whom will read this thread) that it is pointed out that virtually every consumer of gas and electricity will pay between 20% and 30% more with UW than they would with another supplier.
The hope is that this message will spread!
P.S.
I am quite happy to make the 'insinuation' an accusation that you have a vested interest in promoting UW sales.
You have posted hundreds of times in this thread, every post has attempted to put a favourable spin on UW or belittle those who have posted accurate information about UW's extremely high prices.
Also having flatly denied you were a UW customer, it now transpires that you are a UW customer, so your protestations that you are not a UW salesman are viewed in that light!0 -

Why on earth would you look at your gas usage alone if you have electricity?
(that is, apart from trying to make UW look good)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
