Got some Lidl weekend sausages in the oven and am about to make a batter for some toad in the hole. Never got round to doing it last night as I am exhausted.
Will take some Bramley apples with me to mum n dads along with some whoopsied brandy butter (10p) and will probably make up a brandy apple bread n butter pudding using their eggs n bread that need using up.
If I don't get time (there oven is soooooo slow) then I will make a brandy apple 2 min microwave pudding:
2oz sr flour
2oz butter (brandy butter in my case)
2oz sugar
1 egg.
This takes 2 mins to bake in the microwave for the lightest sponge.
I will caramelise my apples first and put them in the bottom of the pudding bowl before I add the above mix! Nice n easy. Nice n quick!!!
Boy. Today is gonna be nuts.
Must fly! See you later peeps. :wave:Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Mr F got some salmon out of the freezer last night - so will have that for dinner with HM wedges and salad - grated carrot/celery/cucumber/onion and tomatoes.
It was pouring and blowing a gale walking along the sea front from the station to Mil's flat on Wednesday evening. Just had some chips out of the freezer with pizza and baked beans - quick and hot.
Last night we had a nightmare train journey home - it was on the news about a lightning strike on an electricity substation. We stood waiting for a train for ages - got really cold.
Dinner when we got home was chicken drumsticks/baked beans and a poached egg.
We are both shattered today - but - funeral went off really well. Now we have to get probate plus flat to empty and sell etc.
NSDs on Wednesday and Thursday. Plan another one today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Please post your budget for May if you are ready to and I'll put an M beside your total on the first page so I know to carry it over to the new thread

Hi
I hope everyone is ok, sending hugs if you need one!
Just totalled up spends and I am at £139.16/£250 so totally doable. Gradually clearing the freezer which is how I have kept spends low.
Off out tonight with a friendcourtesy of a groupon voucher 3 courses for £10 so really looking forward to that. DH picked up a ys levi roots hot chilli so he will be having that tonight for an easy tea. Just about to do the kiddies sausage and mash and carrots.
Gotta dash, DS and DD are shrieking in shower room and I can hear taps! Scared!!!
Happy weekend folks,

Yes it should......:o
But she has just moved into her own place with DGS and got a full time job after lots of effort and thinking no-one would ever give her a chance to work, so money is tight......and I am a push-over!
I will see if I get reimbursed come her pay day :rotfl:0 -
Just quickly on to update my sig. Going really well this month and the chest freezer is going down slowly. Had a great shop yesterday was £41.40 before conditional spends, coupons and a JTD got it to 90p. SA was very impressed. Now have a corner of my freezer devoted to rustic chips."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0
