Morning
Reporting my weekly spends, two shopping trips to get fruit, veg, store cupboard & freezer top ups = Lid! – £7.16 and Sainsbugs – £6.85.
Today is pay-day but I am trying to work my budget by the calendar month so I now only have £6.48 until the 30th
12 NSD’s so far & aiming for 21 :j (determined to up this next month) Even though my freezer and cupboards are fairly well stocked, I've realised that because I'm trying to lose weight I go shopping to search out some healthy/low fat treats to ensure that I don't feel deprived, will definitely be on top of this next month.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190 -
Had a tesco delivery this morning. It was meant to be £39, but Tesco gave me £15 as a goodwill gesture, when they cancelled my order, so i ended up spending £24.04 on my groceries. Very pleased. Will update my sig and should hopefully come in on budget.0

P.S. I've been reading with interest those posts from people with £5 off vouchers etc. Just a thought, but it seems to me that unless you really have a need to spend £40+ (i.e. it's time to stock up), then you're in danger of spending more money than you would have...isn't this what the SMs want you to do??
Sorry, not meaning to criticise, but as I say, it's just a thought.

This is the fruits of my morning labours. The front plate is mini salmon & broccoli tartlets and the one at the back is the same ingredients but made into a flan. There are 2 apple and plum crumbles behind ready for the over for baking!
Salmon & broccoli tartlets are so easy.
I normally just make up a quick batch of pastry.
Line my tins (cupcake tins are great if you are having a buffet.
I used a yorkshire pie tin which is twice as wide as a cupcake tin) or flan case.
Flake in some salmon (I use the pre packed trimmings as it is under a quid).
Top with the eggy mix (I break 2 eggs into a jug and add milk until it comes to 3/4 of a pint. Mix and throw in some mixed herbs, salt n pepper!).
Top with grated cheese and bake until golden.
Jobs a good un!
I had some leftover pastry so I also made some lemon curd tarts:
I photographed em whilst they were still bubbly and hot and still in the tin thoughDecluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
