I ought to be sorting stuff out of the attic and getting covered in dust, but Extreme Couponing is on all morning on Discovery Real time and I just can't look away :rotfl:

I was supposed to clean the house today, because nothing was on TV. I never check the Lifestyle section - such an interesting programme! I wish I had this determination! That man buying $400 odd worth of food only paying $15 after coupons! Wow! :T

Anyway - I know what I will be watching today now....

Another spend of £6.60 in Mr T yesterday. Needed some more squash, bin bags, potatoes and broccoli.

Tonight I've defrosted some Ready to cook pork belly mini joints from a Mr S delivery in November which I want out of the way. It was a substitution so it was never in a meal plan, but that's what I'm having tonight with mash and broccoli.

Lunch will be a search through the fridge to see what needs using up most sort of job. I've had a pretty fun weekend so I'm not bothered about relaxing today especially since it's so cold, wet and miserable outside...

  • Just been in family b*rgains to get some garden trellising for the top of the fence and had a little spend in there. They were doing 750ml of sunflower oil for 90p which works out at £1.20 a litre so cheapest I've seen, only three per customer though. They also had OH favourite Dors*t cereal at £1.49 so had three of those and a litre of guava juice for me.
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

Have now spent £8.46 of my £40 April kitty, so not doing too badly. Lunch is omelette with carrots, also steamed cabbage (tossed in a little butter with a sprinkle of nutmeg).

So, £31.54 to last to the end of the month.

Bath also is cold and wet. Am looking after DD4's cats. Went over this morning to feed them and let them out. After they'd eaten they both whizzed out to answer a call of nature, then straight back in again! Usually I let them out to enjoy the great outdoors until I come back for their other feed of the day. Obviously got enough sense to stay in today!
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

So Angry with myself, I could spit,in fact I have. I got back late
last night after going to my Brothers for the Day to discover Ihat I hadl left a 2kg joint of Beef out of the freezer, nicely defrosting on the floor.I was having a quick rearange to see what I could fit in.

So had to cook it this morning and no space in freezer, luckily my DD
has space and can use it so she is on her way to pick it up.

I just hate waste .What is puzzling me now is, since it came out of the freezer, why the heck cant i fit it back in? Come to the conclusion that if you take stuff out its virtually impossible tofit all the different shapes back together in the same way. Like a huge not doable jigsaw. Anyway happy now that i am not the waster that Iwas feeling.

Florenceem, I just want to say that I think your meal portions are terrific! The meal is not too large and the veggies take up quite a high proportion of the complete meal:T. Good example.

Well we had leftover spicy chicken today with a quick biriani (I also added leftover pineapple chunks to it when it was done!). This was accompanied by a huge amount of leftover mixed salad from last night's spread. It was yummy as I added avocado chunks etc from the Asda haul of 10p bargains:T
    Feel satisfied but not stuffed.

Need to shake myself up and get to Tescos as I have a £2 off a £20 spend to use up and a £5 off a £40 spend too. Need to plan carefully as I am exceeding my targets at the moment:eek: All I need is milk as we are very well stocked but these vouchers are too good to waste. Will stock up further on none perishables. Hopefully will get a few Easter Monday whoopsies too.

    Have a happy Monday all!

Nooooo! Couldn't you have cooked it then proportioned it for freezing in useable amounts? Would have been perfect for sandwiches, etc.
