Just enjoyed a lovely roast dinner. It's the first time for quite a while that I've actually enjoyed a dinner, and I even had seconds! (Well, the leftovers from the children's plates!) I absolutely hate doing a roast chicken, as it's slimy and disgusting, so I poach a chicken breast which is enough for the three of us to share, and then do the usual gubbins to go with it. Today, I had the chicken in the water of the steamer, carrots above it, and sweetcorn and peas on the top. Only used one hob ring :D. And, I have saved the chicken/veg water for our chicken risotto tomorrow. Feeling very ms!!

To top it all off, the dishwasher is already loaded, and kitchen tidied down, all except for the biscuits I baked while the oven was on, which I need to ice before bed. Think I've got it cracked today! Tomorrow's a different story though...

Before the children went to bed, we made our own Easter eggs, using a silicone mould I got from te$co a couple of weeks ago. They're in the fridge overnight, then in the morning we'll write some cute messages to each other and then seal the eggs! So sweet (and so cheap/cheep!)

Night all, hope you've all had a good Easter.

Just updated my dfd, and managed to pay off £100 of my credit card today. Go me! Unfortunately, now my microwave has gone!! In one hand, out the other... If anyone knows of any good deals, please could you tell me. It's not at all urgent, man survived for thousands of years without them, but I feel better having one!

Off for a cuppa and some bbt to cheer me up!

oh heck its all going a bit out of control this month - £156 out for 250 already - though I have food til 16th at least :-/

Think its little trips to local B&M etc that is doing it - going to stick to one trip to aldi at the weekend and on evening trip to Morries or Asda for milk and a scour of the reductions a week for the rest of the month.

I was supposed to be going out for lunch, but it's so cold and wet here, I am staying in the warm......so that should give me my 4th NSD for April :j

I ought to be sorting stuff out of the attic and getting covered in dust, but Extreme Couponing is on all morning on Discovery Real time and I just can't look away :rotfl:

    Toast for brekkie.

Lunch will probably be granola and greek yogurt.....think that will finish it off - then I have Shreddies and Honey Nut Shredded Wheat to finish up before I am allowing myself to open a different cereal ;)

LO pork with sweet and sour sauce and LO boiled rice for tea (making a bit more space in the freezer).

I still have £18 in my purse from last week :T and my personal challenge is to make it last till the end of the week.

I will need to buy milk and spend £1 or £2 in Wilkos for some more plastic "takeaway" boxes because I am doing so well with freezing my LO's, I have run out of my recycled ones......all in the freezer full of aforementioned LO's :D

But I dont for a moment think I have the self control to just spend that small amount :o
