My freezer too. My family asked why I was bagging up oven chips into individual portions? I answered to make it easier for them, If I was not there they would just then be able to get one portion out and no hassle.
The truth really was that I could not get the full bag in whole without rearranging everything else.

Hi everyone, I have had a busy weekend, with visitors, going out and generally getting all chocolatey!
I have also been typing my fingers to the bones in the evenings listing stuff on Ebay.
I have great things to report - I have CLEARED MY CREDIT CARD!! It was over £2,000 at the beginning of the year and by selling and reducing and selling some more, I have paid the last installment off today. I am so blinkin pleased. Thanks so much for the help here on OS and on the GC thread.
I have also heard that my gas and electricity bills are now in credit. Phew!
So that is the good news. The bad news is I popped in to get my grocery shopping on my way home today and everything seemed so expensive. No reductions, prices gone up and I spent £18.01 on not much more than fruit and veg, some tuna, some cheese and some loo rolls. I am really, really cross about this as I am sure after Easter, there will be some price reductions and I had to shop today or I would have nothing to eat for the week.
Grr, so my total is now £30 out of £60 for this month already and it is only the 9th!
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter and didn't overdo the chocolate (like me).31.5/1000 -
NSD again.
Tonight for dinner we had sausage & veggie pie with cous cous, cauliflower and green beans. HM shortcrust pastry - in pie - four sausages/ cheap tin of baked beans/ past their best carrots & mushrooms/ onions/ gravy + seasonings - black pepper/garlic granules/paprika/mixed herbs and chilli powder. It was yummy.
There are still two day's dinners left of the pie - total cost of pie for six portions - £ 1.60.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Well, my Easter shopping was not a huge success.
I went to A*da on Saturday. I thought most people would have done their shopping on Thurday so as to have a lovely clear Easter weekend, and that I would be able to swan about picking up lots of bargains, but the place was bedlam.
I went with my OH ( elementary mistake) so bought more than I would have if I had gone alone, spent £65.74. This included a nice bottle of Cava, which when we opened it on Saturday night was flat! What a disappointment! I will have to take it back, aaargh!
Back at work now, signature updated. May need to be a little more careful between now and the end of the month. Hope everyone had a good Easter break.

Just totted up my receipts from the weekend and I am at £56.26 now.
I have spent quite a bit over the Easter weekend which has all been junk really  I am going to have to pull my belt in for the rest of the month if I am going to come in under budget.
I am having a nsd so no shops for me today0 -

Well done! It's such an amazing feeling when the money coming into your bank account is YOURS and not for paying interest for the credit card. :TGrocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

I made the Baked Bean Pasties yesterday! Could've done with a little longer in the oven to crisp the pastry a tad more, but otherwise lovely! For 2 of them, I separately pan fried some small pieces of chicken, and added them for OH (only did 2 to make sure he liked them first and this was cos he complains about no meat otherwise). Anyway......they were a success! The taste was lovely! Almost exactly like the pasties we're used to back home, which is a real treat for us! OH didn't even notice the lentils (I didn't tell him about them until after he'd given his verdict).
So, we'll be making those again! I think it would be quite easy to substitue out the lentils and add minced meat instead, if you wanted. OH said the chicken also worked well with it.
I have one with me for lunch today!AND...OH said he'd gladly take pasties into work with him for lunch. So I've finally found something he likes enough to take with him! At last!
Sorry, a lot of rambling about the pasties. I thought I'd make a mess of them, so I'm dead chuffed they came out OK.
Also managed home made bread that's actually edible!!! Been working on that one a while. Multigrain it was too. Bl00dy lovely. And guess what? Made from EuroShopper value flour! Oh, and I made rice pudding too. I have a very, very nice lunch today!
I tried some Polish Jelly type thing we had at home. One of OH's colleagues gave it to him to try (she's Polish). It wasn't very nice. Tasted kinda waxy. Which is a real shame, as they're Cherry flavour, and I was really looking forward to them.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
