I just activated it on my Sky.com account and no change so after a few mins I then rebooted the Sky box and it appeared. Maybe if I'd waited it would have appeared anyway.

    I'm rather impatient!

Mine is working, I activated it online and it was ready in a minute. The lead cost me £3.50 could have got it cheaper online but wanted to set it up asap lol.

stphnstevy - if that cable you're talking about is a network/ethernet/LAN cable into your Virgin box, for catchup services etc, then yes, if you plug that into your SkyHD+ box, it'll work.

The Ethernet cable is free in the box. The sky engineer left it in the box and I dug it out.
Bit disappointed so far. I joined sky in dec and was looking forward to watching house and dexter. I am disappointed I haven't had access to the earlier house episodes before the break. So it's back on but no point watching it... I missed the first episode of dexter though and got that off anytime plus and the kids can delete more stiff of the tiny memory he box and access it when they like. :)

Its not an ethernet cable, its like a satallite cable. My Virgin broadband used to have a similiar cable plugged into a cable modem and that connected via an ethernet cable to a virgin router to allow wireless and wired internet connection.

As not using TV cable now, wondering if could use it to connect up the broadband in the front room using the old routers?

Depends totally upon your Sky subscription. If you have Sky movies, for example, you'll be able to download everything film wise available except pay-per-views.

All you'll need is a link from your broadband router to your Sky+HD box.

Just make sure your PIN is set or the kids will be buying movies galore!
