will check at 18 months.If you can think it........it will happen0 -
Slightly off topic but do you think it's possible for babies to be potty trained by 9 months? My MIL insists that my OH was off the nappies by 9 months old and I refuse point blank to believe her! This was also the woman kept saying about my DD "oh, she should be on her feet by now!" at 4 months....... Eh?0

She SOUNDS potty... 4 months indeed, they are hardly sitting up at that age.0 -
She IS potty or her memory of her own children's schedules is impaired. Young children are not physically developed enough to be potty trained so young. Even when they are, they do things in their own sweet time anyway.
Start worrying when your child is six years old and still in nappies.0 -
I dont know how old your OH is, but when I was a baby in the mid 70s potty training did seem to happen at about a year old.
My mam tells me that I was potty trained at this age, however I think that it would have been more a case of catching your child's wee etc in a potty than them asking to go to the potty.
I toilet trained my son at 20 months as he kept undoing the velcro on his nappy and could tell me he had had a wee.0 -
My DS is 17 months, and he has been standing/cruising/walking while holding our hands for ages..but he wont let go bless him..why walk? crawling is much faster!0

my LO didn't walk until he was 19 months, would only do it holding our hands. I found it hard watching everyone else with their babies walking from 9 months onwards, but they get there eventually
he is running now and only been walking alone since xmas. I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
I always remember being told when my DS was a baby (he's 19 now) that it was bad to force babies onto their feet as it causes bandy legs!0

I think her memory must be impaired - it was 40 years ago! But it was always "meh XXXXX - oot o' nappies at 9 months!"0 -
Both of my Daughters walked at around their first birthday. My Son however didnt take off properly until he was 15/16 months. He was happy enough to crawl until then.
My Nephew was also later walking , he was around 16/17 months. The loopy one has gone :j0
