Nicely put ShellieHolly, I very much agree with something that has been vilified by the press and that is 'nothing tastes as good as being thin feels'. And I really hate how badly the media have portrayed that saying, it encourages anorexia etc.

I actualy hate this saying...dunno why, nothing to do with association with anorexia or anything,it just irritates me,I first heard it a Weightwatchers meeting years ago,I also hate the saying "Keep your eyes peeled",makes me think of eyes like layers of onions..irrational I know.lol
Anyway, back on topic, tonight i will find out if ive done enough damage limitation to get away with a "stay the same"...heres hoping, good luck everyone.

  • Hi all,

Well my plan was to join Slimming World last night as the session is on Monday, thought I'd give the number a call first to check it was running and they said they couldn't guarantee it was on because of the bank hol. doh!

So a week to go before I can "start" SW...

I've borrowed a recipe book which has "green" and "red" recipes from a friend, I think they've had it a few years though but figure I can try following a couple of them this week. I am "mostly veggie" (besides the occasional bit of chicken) so I think I'll be following the "green" or the new extra easy stuff but don't know much about that yet.

Going to weigh myself tonight when I get home and then see how it goes this week.

Biggest dilemma is what to have for breakfast...I'm used to having 2 crumpets with peanut butter on :-s

Is bread allowed on SW? Eggs and toast sounds good (no mushrooms please!!)

    Any ideas/help much appreciated!!

    Good morning

Today I hopped on the scales and I've lose 2lbs, maybe a little bit more. I came on my period today so I think that may be the reason... definitely not eating takeaway twice and eating out once. Someone said I may be a week behind with my weight loss but I can't see how that can be. Anyway, WI on Thursday night, planning on having a brilliant couple of days with lots of super free foods. Now I'm off out for a brisk walk.

That someone is quite right, it can take up to two weeks for certain foods to digest and body changes to show. I think thats why my * week shows 1 week after on the scales if that makes sense.

I try to keep that in mind if I have a fab WI this week but not really stuck to plan ...next week might be the one to show it.

Looks as though the voucher is valid til the 17th so I will be able to go to my "local" session next Monday and start it officially then! Will go buy magazine this evening just in case though I think. Thank you again.
