Thanks Mediterranean Mum I am trying to plan my food for the week (not religiously just knowig we'll have a chilli one night, chicken pasta another) then i decide the night before so i know what to get out of the freezer. The only meal my bf can make is chilli or ommlette and he knows he can't use any oil so if he cooks its always ommlette with loads of SF and a salad.
Any more tips? I promise to use them all. x
Totally agree that planning is definitely the number one tip!! I plan like you schumie so that we have options for meals every evening but in an order that suits what we're doing. I also buy in plenty of ingredients for making lunches and breakfasts. My DH makes our breakfast every day so when I started I made a list of dos and don'ts for him (use frylight, no butter/spread, no sugar etc etc). I often make extra for supper (esp veg) to use as LOs for the next day. I also like to have some HM syn-free ready meals in the freezer ( bolognese/chill/curry) so that we're never tempted to get a take away when we're pushed for time. Try not to get caught out away from home. Carry some fruit in your bag and if your workplace is suitable have SW snacks/meals in your drawer/locker at work.
I'd recommend only weighing once a week, preferably at class. Others have been saying that home scales can vary so much plus there's natural fluctuation in weight for so many reasons. My main reason would be that obsessive weighing is far too stressful!;)
If things aren't going too well I'd recommend writing a food diary of everything that passes your lips then analyse it carefully afterwards. Lots of us post menus on here. This gives everyone ideas but it's also a good discipline. Good Luck!
I had a flexi day out in London yesterday so won't [STRIKE]tease[/STRIKE]bore you with what I had to eat and drink, although my breakfast was SW friendly.;)
Back on EEE plan today:
B: HEB porage banana, HEA milk plus teas
L: cold meat and something (probably pickles)lamb chops, roast SW potatoes, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, gravy
Syns: gravy0 -
Good day for me today.
B - fruit & muller light yoghurt
L -LO mediterranean veg bake (HEA for cheese)
D - steak, new pots, onions, mushrooms
Will probably have some Ryvita wholewheat crackers for supper.
Syns - 2 small glasses of white wine (8 syns); butter 10g (3.5 syns)

I'll be very interested to hear how you get on at WI zippy. I got to target using the vast majority of 105 syns a week so technically you could have lost more!!
Well i gained half a pound but its star week so not sure if thats totally accurate. Going to do the same this week and see what happens. Although i went back to work yesterday after 5 weeks off sick, so total upheaval in routine and reintroduction of cycling
Today
B half my HEB toast, bacon , beans
Banana, 2 apples, strawbs, half greapfruit
L Pasta with quorn spag bol packed with veg. Yog
D Carrot and lentil soup with chicken in also. Also onions, courgettte.
Supper - Other half HEB cereal bar, melon and strawbs and maybe some crisps later as syns.
Some fab losses here, welcome to all the newbies:j Keep up the good work.
My tip - never get caught out and be able to say "i was out and starving". I always carry a banana, a yoghurt and if theres a chance ill be out when meal time comes, i pop a HEB bacon sandwich in my handbag and some extra fruit. No excuses. :AA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

First WI and I lost 4 pounds
Very pleased, as I wasn't 100% this week and it's made me determined to lose 3 next week for the 1/2 stone award. Having said that, I stopped off at the supermarket on the way home to top-up fruit and veg, and 'treated' myself to a big bar of chocolate which I've just scoffed... didn't even desperately want it!

Well done on the losses ladies
I'm ill
not sure whether it is a bug but I feel horrendous and the only thing I can stomach is ginger biscuits. Not exactly slimming world friendly is it.

:A"tried to make the best choices." :beer:That is the best way forward Poohbear, it's the choices we make that have the impact. Keep going!
:Tpsychopathbabble:T - well done. I treat myself every week no matter how much I lose after weigh in. Usually a glass of baileys but I haven't any in. It's your first week - enjoy the chocolate, next week limit it to "Only if I have lost X amount"
I always have a banana and an orange in my bag, (as well as choc and crisps) not for anything as angelic as you zippychick, mostly to give to the kids when they are whining for food.
maman glad you enjoyed London!
so 1.5lb off for me this week - which considering the tiz I was getting into yesterday I'm not to sad aboutthough just another .5 would have been much better
It is the horrid * week looming too.
5 stone award next week then. :rotfl:0 -

Good luck with that half pound... you know you can do it
Thanks, I'm not feeling too guilty, just disappointed in myself (much worse!) Because I knew I didn't really want it. Hey ho, tomorrow is another day and all that.

WI tonight and I lost just half a pound. Making a total of 1st 4 lbs lost.
I very nearly fell asleep during Image Therapy - it was yawningly boring.:( I honestly don't know how much longer I can sit there listening to the same old stuff.
This must sound very negative to some people but believe me, I have always stayed behind for this because it is a 20 mile round trip for me and to just go and get weighed and drive home again seems a waste of time. I stay and try to be positive and so on but it's getting hard! If there's a taster evening I always make something nice so I do try.
I would estimate that less than a third of the people who weigh in actually stay to what could be a really good session. I want to go home feeling inspired and enthusiastic but I don't.
Week on week the format is the same - go round every single person in the group, announce how much they've lost (or gained) ask them what they'd like to lose next week and what will stand in the way of this happening. Then the awards and finish up with the raffle.0 -

I haven't stayed to my new group yet, but it's such a shame about your group. My old consultant was really good and inspiring with different theme each week and ways of motivating us. I might have just been lucky with her, as others I've found not so good. Can you think of anything you could suggest to make it more enjoyable?Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
