I'd completely agree with that as a way to approach eating out. I remember sitting in a restaurant in central London at Christmas. We'd been to a show and were in high spirits. Everyone was having a good time and I had a very mediocre omelette, dried up JP (left from lunchtime?) and basic, undressed salad. It spoiled my day out and I vowed never again. I'd say, don't go absolutely mad and have all the deep fried stuff and a massive pudding but, choose a meal that will be a treat. If you're as syn free either side as you can manage, you may STS or have a small gain but it'll all get sorted very soon. You need to build SW into your lifestyle not the other way round.
preachy, moi?:o0 -
Hi all,
I have been AWOL for far too long again. Family and their needs got in the way for a while. I have tried to do SW after a fashion but often have just had to eat what has been put in front of me.
Yesterday I got back on track and today I have been following the advice in one of the magazines.
Red day
I have had
Breakfast: apple, 35g cereal and milk from allowance (which I actually measured)
Lunch: beef and vegetable stir fry
Dinner: Pork and apple, brocolli and sweet potato
Not sure if sweet potato is free on a red day. If it isn't I can syn it.
Well done zippy!!
I wish I had stuck with the plan as I have had a gain of almost a stone whilst half heartedly following SW and paying my monthly online subscription which I can ill afford.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

poohbear59 .. welcome back, just take it from today, you'll be back to rights in no time. Can't help with red days, I'm an Extra Easy gal
I have my first weigh in tomorrow night, though I am not overly sure if I should just go it alone.
Cooker has just conked out on me, mid cooking breakfast quiches and sw chips. kids have fish n chips from chippy... Fortunately I have a beef casserole cooking in the slow cooker that should be good to eat in about an hour. *polishes halo:rotfl:*0 -
if you have to go out or just slip off the plan just think its just one meal out of 21 meals a week---its not going to make THAT much difference....I sort of agree about weighing at home--cant resist it myself--but have had some disapointments when I have shown more of a loss at home than on SW scales,--also been other way round and shown more of at SW than at home..swings and roundabouts!
One thing I do think makes a difference is the scales being on carpet rather than a hard floor...I was always led to believe that scales should always be on hard floor for acuracy--and they are on carpet at SW---could be just 8in over to be on hard floor...dont know how to say to our leader about it---did once at WW a few years ago and weighed on both--and there was a difference--for the better--and they now weigh in same room but on hard floor....do you think I should text the leader and suggest it?I might be crazy but I'm not stupid....0 -

Hi everyone.
I normally do EE but i've been looking at red and green days and I just can't get my head around them. This is todays menu:
B - Fruit and fibre (heb) milk (hea) Apple.
L - 2 scan bran with philadelphia extra light (3 syns) Pear, blueberries and Hifi bar (6 syns)
D - Salmon, rice noodles and veg. Will have a bowl of fruit after with a muller light.
So could this be a green day if I weigh my salmon? and that would be my second heb? then I could also have another hea?
Or have I got it completely wrong which is highly likely :rotfl:.
Thanks in advance and well done Zippy, must feel amazing to get to target :j.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0
