Natterjack. So sorry. I've had five losses myself and am currently pg under a specialist in natural killer cells, which are my problem - going well so far. PM me if you want more info - NHS doesn't tell you about NKCs, it's a crime.

As for me, gradually getting my ridiculous holiday gain under control - 3 of the 6.5lb already gone (think it was mostly carb bloat as I drank lots of no-alcohol beer and nachos :) ). And yesterday the office diet-monitor cornered me to ask me what diet I was doing as I look so skinny and have stick legs. I mean, so not true, and the steroids are giving me terrible moonface, but it was a big boost as I've been feeling really munterish the past few days.

    Hi All :wave

Not been here in a few weeks, life has taken over! Been extremely busy at work & busy at home getting clothes, cases etc organised for holiday & kids school uniform as they go back 20th August & we come home 17th. I have had a 1.5lb gain the last few weeks but am not stressing, due to no time to meal plan etc. Just thought I would pop in to say Hi :hello: and bye  as I fly out at 6am tomorrow, good luck with staying on the plan everyone, I plan not too overindulge toooo much (famous last words) when I am away, take care, 'see' you all soon x

Thanks for that Sarah, Im hoping I was just extremely unlucky as I have had one full term text book perfect pregnancy. Im going to look into taking baby aspirin next time and see if docs can monitor my progesterone levels. Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months though! I can't imagine how you coped with 5 losses!

Anyway sorry to take the thread off topic! My 30 day shred still hasn't arrived! They have the full videos on you tube so may start and watch it on ipad- could be difficult on small screen though.

I haven't eaten yet today as its weigh in day- damage limitation with the week I've had! I need to get out of the habit of being like this on wi day though as it could start slowing my losses down!
Meal plan for me today will probably be; Mullerlight, Strawberries and a mugshot!

Hi Natterjack. I also have one son - natural killer cell problems often appear after a textbook birth. But hopefully you will be fine. I'm just really passionate now about getting the message out as it's taken me five years, thousands of pounds and lots of heartache to get to the bottom of my problem.

Sorry to hear your bad news natterjack, sending a big hug to you and OH. I think focusing on SW is a great idea. It'll help you feel in control of something and I'm sure healthy eating and a healthy weight can only help you. Do post often.

Fluff, I have heard of people giving up bread and if you're prone to bloating maybe it's worth a try. Two bits of advice I'd give you: try not to weigh at home between official WIs. I think we all fluctuate across the week but aren't so adepressed if we don't have the numbers in front of us. Second, I'd say that if you don't do it already then do a meal plan that includes easy, small meals. Perhaps if you know you've got something organised you'll eat more often. Our consultant often asks if people are eating enough if they're not losing.

Sorry to hear you're poorly again tie. I think that lots of people who work in schools experience this at the start of the holidays. It's as if you keep going to the end of term because you have to and then when you stop all the ailments take over. I'm sure healthy SW food will be good for you but you definitely need to rest and recharge.

I'm trying to stick to plan today. Haven't been to WI as I had an early hosp appt but they did my weight/height there and said BMI was excellent, so thanks SW:D Had breakfast really early, starving at 11.30 so made a fried egg on toast. I was pleased I resisted buying crisps or choc. Our local hospital is like a shopping mall: Burger King, croissant shop, Costa... everything!!

    EE plan so far:

B: HEB Puffed Wheat, banana, HEA milk in teas
    Snack/L: fried egg, toast
    D: spaghetti bolognese
Syns:squirt brown sauce, toast (am allowed xtra HEX at target but need to be careful)

I need some more SFs. I have some LO veg in fridge I could fry, maybe later when I'm hungry again.
  • Meal plan for today...

    B-Mullerlight and Banana
    snack - plum and orange
L- SW Quiche and mug shot, Apple and grapes
    snack -
D- Steak and chips with mushrooms and onions
Snacks - Prob more fruit, couple of curly wurly bites (2 syns) maybe a highlights hot choc (2 syns)
    HexA-Milk for tea
HexB-undecided - either toast later or alpen light

Have a fab day everyone :)

Been to WI this morning, bit disappointed didn't lose anything but at least it was a maintain and not a gain!

Going to mix it up a bit this week and have a mix of Red, Green & EE see if that helps.

I had a really good day until I went to a BBQ this evening. I wrongly presumed the burgers and sausages would be SW friendly as the hostess goes to SW with me. Also the greek style yoghurt dip which was supposed to be free turned out to have quite a few syns too, I hadn't had any syns up until then so I'm hoping it wasn't too bad. Tomorrow is a new day.

We are having a BBQ at the weekend to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary, I am planning to do as much SW friendly as possible, I am a bit worried about the cost and time involved though. I made burgers last weekend from 500g 5% mince which as many of you will be aware costs around £4 and it only made 6 . I have heard of a couple of local butchers though that do SW friendly sausages and burgers, not sure of the cost there. There is looking like being about 25 of us, just hope the weather improves a little. Will be doing plenty of salad, boiled potatoes etc and deserts will be fruit salad, SW roulade and jelly terrines. Any tips for quick and easy SW BBQ's please?
SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb
