Not having a great day... not too sure whats up with me.. feel very bored and restless!! All I want to do is eat!

Can I ask what effect your monthly period has on your weight?? I took it on Thursday and should be here for a few days yet.. I feel very bloated and sluggish. Its the first since my baby was born - so its just draining me of energy. Pre Slimming world - I would be muching on loads of crisps and chocolate during this time!!

sitting here now sipping a nice long glass of bacardi and diet coke... I will only have the one - but I just had to have it! I hope I have the will power to resist the nibbles in the cupboard!!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend!

TOTM seems be having a gain of around 2lbs on average. I am always bloated, tired, sluggish & bad tempered. If i ever veer off SW its normally when my period is imminent. Its an absolute pain in the !!!. I look forward to when the time comes & i know it will all be over within a couple of days !

Tonights tea - tomato pasta bake with carrots, mushrooms, peppers, garlic and mixed herbs all mixed in, Mam sneakily added creme fraiche, anyone know syn value?

For pud I'm making fro yo with a hazelnut options hot choc and a couple of crushed oreos mixed in, mmmmmm.

Low fat creme fraiche is about 1.5 syns to a tablespoon emma.

Eric, I come away from my group motivated like you then I do my meal plan for the week with associated shopping list for the next day. So I suppose my answer is PLANNING, PLANNING, PLANNING.

I think single cream is 1.5 syns per tbsp beanielou. Seems surprising that it's much the same as creme fraiche. i think I need to check that. The website isn't easy to navigate.

Haven't had a bad day. Stuck to my plan including half a SS melon tonight to keep up my SFs. Two squares of 70% cocoa chocolate did pass my lips (DH is a bad influence;)) but I was low on my usual weekend wine syns tonight so I think I'll be OK.

Ive been back from my hols for a week and I'm still not back on the sw wagon.

Can anyone tell me why I continue to eat far too many syns (everyday) and make bad choices when I'm out (and then carry on when I get home)

My clothes don't fit, I don't like the sight of myself in the mirror and I feel uncomfortable. an hour gardening when I got home from the shops tonight has made my back hurt like hell!

I sit in group and listen to everyone and always feel really positive and motivated. They are a fab bunch and its very inspiring listening to them all. I leave determined to follow suit yet it never happens.

    HELP!

You are not on your own.I was the same way after my brother died. It wasnt until i weighed myself where it shocked me into taking some action because i had gained 5lbs
The thing is with healthy eating and getting yourself back on track, you need to be in the right frame of mind. Its one thing knowing what you must do, and harder putting into practice. It all boils down to self belief i think, and then also going back to planning your meals is a bit of a nightmare - i know i struggled the first couple of days this week. You will get there again though FE. I have faith in you. You need to sit down & think right i AM following SW today, and just take one day at a time.
Since i started SW i have had one slip up after another , and i try not to feel bad about it because life is for enjoying - not slating yourself for having a bad food day.
For me SW is about changing my food habits and if i choose an apple or some other fruit when i want a snack then thats a step in the right direction. I know with me that i want to lose as much as possible within a short amount of time and i get cross if i have a bad week & then berate my food choices. I try to keep in mind that its one step at a time , and i am trying to accept that (for me at least) it will be ten steps forward, and one step back.

Sorry for the massive waffle - i hope the above makes some sense! We are all here for you. Dont shout at yourself for slipping up. Its not worth it. accept it, and continue on plan as normal. (big hug)

    HELP!

FE I can only tell you what seems to have worked for me and you may remember that I was in a very bad place for a good couple of months. The only thing that remained constant through it all though was that I came on here every day. I read everything that everyone was writing and commented even although I wasn't necessarily following all the rules myself. We all know how to do this but putting it into practice is SOOOOO much harder.

I promise you if you just keep reading over your books and the stuff on here it will eventually trigger something and you'll just step back up to the plate. It took me many many weeks of anguish and weight gaining unfortunately but I'm glad to say that I've been back on the wagon for about 3 weeks now and love the way I feel.

I have no idea how much weight I'm losing and right now I don't want to know as I just get so obsessed with the scales. For me personally it's about how I feel so personally I'm being successful - that's all that counts for me right now.

I feel so much healthier and have a lot more energy. As I already said many times, if only we could bottle the feelings of lethargy and sickness that we feel when we eat the wrong things it would be so much easier to get back to plan.

I know you can do this and you know it too - just keep with us and you'll get back into it.

    good luck

  • Had a really good Friday and Saturday and stuck completely to plan which is really great as these are my two hardest days to keep to it.

Today I'm meeting a friend for lunch - we get together about once a month - and I'm a bit worried about that. The plan is to have a salad, although I love dressings too much and might not be able to control it; or I could have a pasta dish with a tomato sauce. I don't like Parmesan so won't be tempted to throw that on top but of course you never know what they're actually making the sauce with.

B - fried eggs and baked beans on hash of LO vegetable risotto
S - large bowl of chopped fruit and FF vanilla yoghurt (hoping to eat this about an hour before lunch so that I'll be less hungry when I meet my friend!)
L - salad or pasta with tomato sauce; side salad
    S - watermelon
D - vegetable & chickpea soup with LO shredded roast chicken

Looking forward to lunch today. I am cooking sirloin steaks with SW chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and a large salad. Dessert will be fresh raspberries and a meringue nest with a blob of low fat fromage frais.

We went out yesterday (tracking down garden stuff) and went past lunchtime then realised we needed something. We only needed something light as I was cooking last night so we nipped into a supermarket and bought a tub each of pasta with tuna and tomato sauce and ate it in the car. Then we had a banana. In another life it would have been a sandwich and a packet of crisps probably and maybe something sweet afterwards.

It is paying off - my pants are nearly falling off me!:rotfl:I bought 3 prs of lacy M & S pants and love them but they're now too big and I'll have to go and buy the next size down.:D

I've lost 10.5 lbs and hoping to lose at least another pound this week.

Keep up the good work lovely people. :T

I've made a huge pot of speed soup today & bagged it up for freezing.

Is your speed soup the same as what they call Dyno-rod soup? If so, I love the stuff - I made a huge pot of it last week and froze loads.
