Good luck bindiboo and welcome.
Thanks for the welcome everyone, and well done on all the weight losses.
I've had a good day:
FF yoghurt and an apple
Ham sandwich (HE b), melon slice and a banana.
Pork sauted with sliced apple and onions, HM healthy egg fried rice, cabbage and peas, cherry FF yoghurt for desert.
A few teas and coffees with ss milk (HE a).
I've been going to class for a few weeks, I did really well the first few weeks then had a holiday, regained half my weight loss (total loss dropped to 3lbs in 6 weeks) and have struggled to get back into the SW plan. I'm managing to stick to it this week, so with luck it will show on the scales on WI day.

Hi everyone - hope everyone is keeping well.
I had a really good day at class today - its my 2nd week on the plan.. I got slimmer of the week - loss of 4lb and also won the raffle - so came home with lots of goodies!!! Really motivated now to get my half stone award next week!!
Although I have only joined SW a few weeks - I have been trying to be good since after my baby was born in May - and I am now only 2 lb heavier than I was when I became pregnant!! I put on 2 stone 10 pound when I was pregnant!!
I tried the rocky road bars tonight - they were part of my raffle prize - OMG - they are so tasty! I will definitely be buying a box of them each week at class!0 -
I don't know if any of you have the EE Meals in Minutes book but I made the Lemon and Garlic Chicken last night and it was delicious - even the kids loved it!
It suggested a warm potato, bean and tomato salad with it but I did something a little different - I sauteed a finely sliced leek, a finely diced red pepper, a cubed courgette and some chopped cherry tomatoes, then added half a tub of tomato puree, seasoning and a little water. Reduced it all down and then added some cooked and half baby new potatoes. It was delicious with the chicken and some char-grilled broccoli.Mediterranean Mum

where are the days disappearing to i think i'm getting old the weeks are going too fast! :rotfl:
back at doctors again yesterday they have decided i am borderline anaemic....1 week ago when they looked at the blood tests they said everything was ok but now they decided they are not so I'm on medication for this now
pain wise i'm still in pain they won't give me any more diazepam so it's getting worse rather than better and they basically said yesterday they have no idea what's wrong with me....I want to be a doctor I think cos they seem to be just plucking things out of thin air for me at the moment!
I'm supposed to be doing the race for life on 22nd july and its more than like going to be 'lets see how long it takes me to shuffle round' for life!
Hope everyone is well xSLIMMING WORLD 13/5/2012- 6lb loss total weight loss 5 stone 8lb

Presumably it was measured by conductivity/resistance? I'm not sure how accurate those things are. I would have thought it was % by volume and other body parts weight more than fat which would distort it etc etc but a quick google tells me it's by weight. Still, if 'normal' BF is around 25-30% and yours is 42% you wouldn't have to lose as much as you thought to fall into that bracket.
May be completely wrong here but will ask OH tonight and see if he knows any more about it - let's see if his PhD in obesity biochemistry is of any real use
Just to follow up as promised - asked OH and he said the same, i.e. it's not massively accurate. Conductivity can be affected by things like water content, and since water's a conductor if you are dehydrated it will give more resistance and therefore a higher fat reading. Saying that, it does give an indication of the true result (and we can't all be going for DEXA scans, the gold standard!) so can be useful, especially in looking at % change over time rather than absolute %. I would use it in the same way as BMI - useful as a guide but don't take it as gospel.
Just been into the work kitchen to prepare my breakfast and another colleague asked if I'd lost weight - that's 2 this weekTurns out she joined SW last night as well. The other colleague who asked on Mon said she might join when I told her what I'd been doing - SW should pay me commission!
Anyway, green for me today:
B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana
L: Mugshot, pitta (B), nectarine
T: Soya spag bol, cheese (A)
S: Pineapple, Freddo (5)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Vicki that's terrible, really hope they find out what's wrong with you soon. Have to be honest, I (generally) hate doctors - it's my own personal prejudice from knowing and working with so many of em but when they claim to know everything but don't have a clue it just isn't on. I don't think you should even contemplate doing RFL - even if you feel better by then you need to take it easy. TBH on of our local ones has just been cancelled due to the car park being flooded so if the weather carries on you may be in the same boat (no pun intended!)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]
