Back on plan today - breakfast as planned was salad, roasted aubergine, 2 slices of WM bread and techina; now I'm eating a lovely big bowl of frozen mixed berries, a couple of fresh figs and a pear with FF vanilla yoghurt - delish!
I have never tried figs - what are they like? They dont look great when they are dried:undecided

I just told a work colleague about the body fat & he said no way and thought it was a bit extreme as it means i'd be around 6 stone if i lost around half my body weight. I wonder what the body fat machine goes off then?

The dried ones are nothing like fresh ones - they are sweet and delicious - I took a picture of one for you but don't know how to upload it!Mediterranean Mum

Hello all. Still going well here. I had a batch cook on Sunday which I always mean to do but never get round to, and I'm REALLY liking how much easier it's making my evenings. I made a meat ragu, a veg lasagne and a roasted veg couscous. The couscous has mostly gone in our packed lunches, we had veg lasag two nights running and tonight I've stuffed some peppers with the ragu.
SO my question is, what other recipes are good for batch cooking? ANyone got any failsafes that see them through the week?0 -

Sounds great Sarah. Have you every bought and cooked boneless chicken thighs? I buy them a kilo at a time and then spend time cutting out all the fat (they are quite fatty). I then marinade them well in soya sauce, cumin, paprika, ginger, salt and black pepper and then cook them on a griddle pan. You can then serve them up with all kinds of vegetable stews or stir fries.
I also do a huge batch of vegetable stew and use this as a side vegetable and also the base for a frittata.
have funMediterranean Mum
