Still reading - just checking in. Im now 3 lbs from target. I get weighed on tuesday, then head to tenerife for a week all inclusive. Frustrated my journey to target will take even longer but i guess thats how it goes. My year at SW will be the 5th July :o

im bodering in a size 12 so i guess i should be happy now. It just doesnt feel right though if that makes sense!? 11stone does not sound thin . the jeans i planned to fit are now getting baggy - i just wish i could get my brain to catch up with that fact ....

anyway, hope Dizzy is doing ok and appears soon?

I meant to ask if anyone knows how to make a tasty couscous dish? I love the ready made moroccan or mediterranean couscous salads you get in Tesco but they're made with oil so are quite high in syns; I bought dry couscous and tried to make it once before but it was revolting.

I make up the Ainlsey Harriott ones with chicken for my lunch at work and they're fairly filling; I think its a couple of syns per packet

Med Mum - that curry recipe sounds really nice and is a good example how you can tweak standard recipes!

So the rest of my day...
L - Sardines in tom sauce, spinach, orange pepper
D - Tinned Toms, Baked Beans and Red onion (all in one pan and heated) 1 quorn burger (1/2 syn), SF Jelly with raspberries and Asda FF Greek yoghurt
Snacks - Lean bacon and Mango, 2 malted milk biscuits (4syns)

total syns for the day = 4.5 in food and 3 for sugar in teas (this is 6 sugar cubes so it is measured properly!)
Yay - I made it through day 1 back on plan :)

Zippy your post gives me so much hope! In fact I know that when people look at me they would never know that I weigh as much as I do. I'm tall and carry myself well but I weigh a huge amount. I really hope that I will not have to lose the amount in numbers to get to where I want to get (size 14) which is another reason for me throwing away the scales.

Well done you on all your hard work and have a great holiday.

  • Hope everyone managed to stay reasonably good yesterday - such a shame that the rain had to spoil the festivities just a bit.

    L-tuna salad
    S-watermelon

    Hi guys!
I followed SW last year for a few months and lost 1st6lbs, stopped going as I didn't really get on with the consultant, should have looked around for another but change of job meant I didn't really know what I was working and when.
Anyway, over the year I seem to have lost another 1st (no idea how!!) but I still need to lose more. Am trying it without a group at the moment, mainly due to money constraints etc.
Hubby needs to lose approx 6 stone and I need to lose approx 2 1/2 stone. Evening meals and lunches are fine, we have loads of ideas and recipes.
OH start works at 4am and has his break at 9am, at which time he wants to eat 'breakfast' food. He doesn't like porridge, has the use of a microwave and needs food on the go - anyone got any good ideas?
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:
