    I think I need help!!

I know sw works, I've lost over 2 stone for goodness sake. But I just can't get into it. :(

Was thinking the warmer weather would pave the way for healthier eating of salads and more fruit but it hasn't.

Last night I gorged like a monster, I had 2 lots of melted cheese, 2 bags of crisps, half a bag of popcorn and a chocolate muffin. This was after a healthy tea of homemade pizza and loads of salad - what is wrong with me.

I've shared this all with you so I can be ashamed when I read back.

I've started off today with a positive mind set, went for a 30 min walk and have my meals all planned out for the day. It's just come evening time I turn into this food craved psycho and would probably try eating the furniture if it happened that the fridge was empty :(

Can anyone advise? As you can probably tell I am desperate.

Aww lovely I could have wrote that a hundred times over god knows how long don't beat yaself up too much just put it down to experience and do as you already have start a new day, I'd personally count yesterday as a flexi day n start with normal syns and perhaps have a mooch online for some nice low syn Snax 1/2 syn cake, egg custard tarts, keep curly wurly in freezer and find some low syn crisps etc so if u fancy a picky half hour you got ur little stash ready Syns low but lush enough to enjoy, I'm going to do just.that tonight do some home made PITTA pizzas in freezer and some curry, I was waiting for 1/2 syn cake to cool 10 30 last nite lol half last night half in work today blooming lush, good luck x

Becks I know exactly where you're coming from. A few questions -

    - do you eat a snack in the afternoon and if so what time and how long before dinner?

    - are you drinking water throughout the day?

    - what do you eat in the evening?

I found that if I eat a sandwich (HEB) in the afternoon about 4/4.30 then that fills me up before supper and when I get to supper I'm hungry but not starving.

If supper is high carbs then I find that I'm craving more food later in the evening so I try and have a huge bowl of soup to start and then just a small piece of chicken or something and a lot of stir-fried veggies with it. That is usually enough to keep me full and satisfied through the evening. If I feel that I want to have anything else then it's usually an Options which feels naughty!

I've also found that on the days that I don't drink enough water I'm much hungrier so aim to drink between 1.5-2 litres every day.

    HTH - good luck

Not a happy bunny tonite, WI +.5lb, I know its not a lot but I just can't see what I did wrong, felt a right twit as she went round the group everyone who had put on had a reason either wine, bbq or birthday meals and I've stuck to plan all week. :(

The trouble is I'm away next week so I expect to either STS or gain, now I'm feeling bad about going on holiday.

    snap...HALF ON for me,

i did stick to plan like yourself, but every 4th week i will have a gain of a half, even tho i dont have periods (on depo) so it was kinda expected,

tho i had done LOTS of extra body magic in the scorching sun to try and see if i could combat the dreaded week 4, so i hope it pays off next week!

i cant be too disappointed tho, i am still 1 lb below target:j

but i would still like my 6 stone award (2lbs away!)

good luck to all who WI today;)

I'm back on plan today after 2 days of utter crap while in hospital with DD. We got out yesterday afternoon and she is on the mend but still not feeling great.

Currently having 2 x weetabix, yoghurt and an apple with a cup of tea.

Lunch will be soup and dinner pasta. Not had a chance to read all the post, hope everyone is ok.

This sounds like classic emotional eating to me. You know you're not hungry because you just had pizza and salad. Is there something that's bothering you that you'd rather not think about? Have you tried Paul McKenna's method of trying to disassociate your head from your tummy and just concentrate on your tummy and how it's feeling. Even as you're standing at the fridge, or are making the melted cheese. How full/empty is my tummy on a scale of 1-10 where 1 is completely-starving-about-to-faint, and 10 is utterly-stuffed-about-to-burst? You shouldn't be eating until about 3 or 4. If you're full but still want to eat, it has to be an emotional crutch. Try to figure out what's causing it - lonely? Argument? Work avoiding? - and then either solve the problem, or if it's not that easy, do something different as a crutch that doesn't involved food. Have a bath, like they always suggest - stupid but it does work. Go for a walk. Play an absorbing game on your phone, anything.

I speak from many years of battling this very problem!
  • I hope you are all drinking plenty to help prevent water retention due to the heat :)

G&B glad you are out and she is on the mend.
My littlest is really struggling with the heat andthis cough that will not go.
Fridge is bare, no money til tomorrow so potatoes and chips for tea!

This time yesterday I was sat by the water in Bowness (eating an ice cream!) and relaxing, enjoying the view, watching the world go by.

Today I'm back in the office :(

Head not back in SW mode - just feel tired and grumpy and have a can't be bothered attitude. Will take things as they come over the next few days - but want to get back into sw mode so will be as good as I can.

What is everyone taking for lunch on these hot days ?? and any suggestions for meal ideas when its get home from work, its too hot to cook or faff (etc)

FE I'm right beside you on this one. I've got my head focused on the end of this week and the new month and I'm hoping that I can jump start it all then. I live in a country where there are religious holidays all the time and it's food, food and more bloody food. We now have a long gap until the next set of holidays so hoping that I can get my head back into gear.

It's really really hot here and I didn't sleep a wink last night. Today I just don't know what to do with myself as I'm so tired and hot and uncomfortable.

I save my HEB (2 slices of bread) for my afternoon snack and have it with humous, or smoked salmon or FF cheese and some sliced veggies. I work from home but you could easily prepare that and leave it in the fridge so that you can just grab it as soon as you come in.
