Glad you had a great time gettingthere! That 8lb will come off in no time, most will be water. I wouldnt be surprised if you lost 4-5lbs first weigh in.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Hi everyone, here I am again.
Had a truly fab week in Florida, the weather was superb, the food was to die for. :-(
I started off with all good intention, really I did.
I even ordered low fat meals on the plane, all went well until I gave in and said yes to an ice cream cone!
Then that was it!!
I still tried my best though, but my best was not good enough.
Everything you eat in the USA is BIG!! literally.
One meal could easily feed a family of 3 or 4.
So I had a big mac, ( don't usually like them ) a donut, yuk! but ate it. Does this all sound familiar?
So on and on it went until finally I jumped on the old trusted wii scales, to show ...................... wait for it!! Drum roll please!! ....................... 8lb GAIN!
So here I am now feeling like a big fat beached whale.
Tomorrow the diet starts again, and hopefully by next week I will have lost most of what I put on!
P.S. Missed ya all!!
Welcome back
You do not go to Florida and stay on SW.....I'm actually jealous of your weight gain, only because I know how good the food is that you've eaten to put on 8lb
I gained half a stone when we went last time. I will definitely put on when we go later this year, no doubt about that! IHOP and Chilli's here I come!0 -
Glad you had a good ho;liday getting there.

Wel, I finally got my backside into gear and went and rejoined SW tonight after not going since Nov 2010 and that was for just a few weeks. Prior to that I'd been a couple of years before and lost just about 2 stones.
I am going the EE way I hope and have everything I need plus the latest SW mag. I will start tomorrow with my 1 oz cereal, skimmed milk and a banana and go from there. I think the safest way for me is to just choose EE recipes from the mags for the first week anyway.
Can I REALLY do SW curry (say) and have rice with it for FREE?0 -

yes! as long as 1/3 of your plate or day is SF (depending on which route you are going down)0 -
Ooopsy piggy me had increased by 2 lb tonight! I went to a different group, right after work and about a 10 minute ride away, it was packed, and noisy, and everyone seemed jolly. the consultant spotted me right away and came over to check if I needed the "newby" talk or if I was a visitor. I didn't stay as I had loads to do at home this evening (ironing, cooking for 2 more days, ...erm. ..reading ...eating)
I can really identify with the "sabotage yourself" comments, I guess we almost all do it. And then feel sick and guilty, too.Your consultant must have super sensitive scales...how do they cope with all those people getting weighed one after each other every week, there was a lady in my group today who got weighed went to the toilet and got weighed again!
When she read out my weight loss in group I could feel myself going bright red and then people started asking what I'd been eating so I said whatever you guys tell me to ha!gunsandbanjos wrote: »Morning, it is BEAUTIFUL here today. Trying to keep my mind off tomorrow (unsuccessfully I may add). Need to tidy up my hovel of a flat, it looked so nice last week but has slipped a little so cleaning and hoovering must count as body magic?
Having a mix to max day today.
Going to have some weetabix(B), yoghurt and banana in a bit.
Lunch will be soup as usual (need to make more)
Dinner is roast chicken thighs with franks red hot sauce(Amazing stuff!) and salad.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Just remembered (before bed) I was going to comment on the "fat friends" posts. Years ago I used to lift-share to work with a really pretty, intelligent but very overweight girl (truly, my car door was badly damaged when she opened it near a kerb, got in, the side of the car went right down onto the kerb and buckled the bottom of the door - she was that big, bless her). She had very low self esteem though, even without the car business which I never actually mentioned to her, and lived with a chap who wasn't the full twelve pence iyswim. He actually drooled. And never worked, lived off her. And spent every day trawling the local town to pick up women for a bit of nookie which, surprisingly, he seemed to manage to do. Anyway, the bf's sister once told me he had said to her that he went out with my colleague because "she's so fat no-one else will want her so she won't stray". Isn't that vile? I never told her obviously. They were together for years but I've lost touch now. So it's not just your girlfriends who can be using you, sometimes the chaps like to encourage you to be bigger too, so they feel "safe". Let's do it for OURSELVES gals. x:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Hi All
CH27, you are not the only one who binges, tomorrow is another day, I had 1lb gain this week, but have * & since getting coil replaced last wed I am still in pain, so am sitting here on my 2nd glass of rose catching up with desperate housewives, why is it when I have a gain, I want to burst my syn barrier & be naughty, I had only had 1 syn today (tomato sauce in my salmon). Ok I never had the dry weekend didn't have the willpowerbut still within syns, can i ask the following
Is 30g mature cheddar an HEA? May be where I am going wrong as the book doesn't say mature  I love cheese, infact still to have my HEA for today so off for cheese n pickle now
Does it have to be co-op WM pitta ( I use Asda or Tesco)
I stood & made my DH a fry up on Sunday, consisting of sausages, ham, potato scone, mushrooms, tomato, dumpling, egg, beans, I had..........frozen berries n yoghurt :A. Thats dedication :rotfl::TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Made another ginormous pot of lentil soup.
Thanks for reminder of this G&B - I have a fridge full of wilting veggies cos I couldn't be bothered chopping them all week so I'm off to throw them all into a big pot with lentils and then freeze portions - just what I'm looking for to get me back in gear.gettingthere54 wrote: »Hello, I, back!!
