I am exactly the same - I have a great week, a good loss and then I "reward" myself by stuffing my face!!! I'm sure some psychologist has done a study on this.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Thanks :-)
the group I go to I don't find that useful - the first week or two was good to go, but our consultant has only been their 50% of the time (she's been either off sick or family problems or something) the rest of the time, so we get a random other consultant who doesn't know any of us and it feels like a waste of a good hour and a bit.
Anyway, they put me on to EE when I joined and they never talk about Green or Red days - I said I'm doing Green and get a funny look, kinda thing. So trying to find out about the 1/3rd rule was a pain.
Tempted to stop doing the classes in the near future and just do it myself and put the five pounds in a money box!!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

a good portion of people on here stopped going to class. you only really need to go until you get the plan properly. other than that i personally found the endless clapping and just talking about slimming world chips being tasty was a waste of money.0 -
Evilsquid - Yes I'm getting to the same point in time, I think I get more coming on here than I do paying a fiver once a week. I'd be better off using that hour and a half to go to the gym and have a good workout, or go for a swim!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

We're having a bbq this afternoon . My plan is :
To have just one small finger roll,
Syn free burgers that I have made,
Chicken which is coated in herbs,
I've made a gorgeous salad which I love,
Potato salad is made with the extra light mayo - will only have a small amount.
I don't think I will go over my syns and I will only have a little tomato ketchup. All the bread rolls are calling my name though :rotfl:I'm really suprised how much I am missing bread, more so than chocolate.
The salad if anyone is interested is cucumber cubed, tomato cubed, red onion chopped, fresh coriander chopped and a good squeeze of lime. Mix it all up, let it sit in the fridge for a few hours and it is lovely.
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

Think of all the yummy fruit and veg you could buy with your fiver? Or buy yourself a nice bunch of flowers:)
I went to 2 or 3 classes and realised it wasn't for me. I get way more from here and minimins than i got from class. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
gunsandbanjos, yes I think you're right there! So long as I keep sticking to the plan, there's not much need to pay a fiver to be weighed!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

I've been using the money for a proper reward for hitting body magic awards and i'll do the same when i hit club 10, stone awards and target. i got myself a subscription to womens fitness magazine for getting my gold award. after thats paid for, i still have money left assuming it'd be nearly £20 a month for the classes! when you think of other things you can get for that money that will keep you motivated, its silly! all SW give you are a few stickers and certificates. even if you pay to weigh at boots or the gym once a week, thats 50p at my gym. i'd be able to buy some gold stars from WH Smiths or fancy stickers from paperchase and still have money left to spend on another reward :rotfl:0 -
Didn't think of using the scales at the gym etc! I've got scales at home anyway, and I could still record everything properly!
How do I leave class though, do I just tell them I won't be coming anymore?!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!
