If I had one wish I wish I had found my mojo when I was young enough for my skin to spring back into shape as that makes me self concious too. Baggy skin round my neck makes me look older than I am [46 last Friday ] but feel I look at least 10 years older. I work with someone who is the same age and she looks so much younger than me [makes me sick ].

I sympathise with you TIE - I feel the same in a way cos before SW I had tried EVERY other way to lose weight but we can't have everything in life (it's a shame but it's true) You have done brilliantly by getting to target so try not to put yourself down so much and enjoy being able to do stuff you couldn't do when you were heavier. As for the lady you work with, I wonder if she feels as healthy as you? Give yourself credit for your achievement and enjoy life. xx

It's cream and fitted around the bodice, then floaty from the waist. Very suitable for baby bros wedding on Sat! I'm hoping the weather holds out. Parents are arriving tomorrow, so am a bit worried about all the food & drink that will flow over the extra long celebratory weekend. I've been saving flexible syns all week, but I think I'll blow all of them and more besides. I think I may just take the hit and get back on track next week. After all, it's not every week your bro gets married!
    .

Sound really pretty.:) If I were you I'd go flexi for the wedding celebrations and then get right back on it immediately after. Enjoy!

I am afraid to wear leggings with anything that doesn't come to mid thigh as am not happy with my botty [too flat and shapeless now]. I don't mind wearing jeans as they 'lift' me a bit. Its doing my head in as I think everyone is looking at me :o [like they don't have anything better to do :p].

Ok have depressed myself more now and bored you all to tears SORRY :o

Sorry you're feeling down tie, but what about some bum-shaping pants!:D:rotfl:

How many sleeps to the school holidays?

    Well done losers :j:j:A:A

STILL suffering with throat, voice comes and goes too. Totally fed up now :(

Feel a waffle coming on , sorry :o.
Why is it that when I was at my heaviest I wasn't afraid to wear leggings and T-shirts that didn't cover my ample botty and I wasn't self concious at all. Now though, when I am at target and slimmer than I've been since I was 18 I am SO self concious. I was quite happy to wander round in bikini top and shorts when heavy and didn't mind my flab being on view so why do I cover up now? I think in my mind I still see myself as big even though I have been slim for well over a year now. Think I need my head examined :rotfl:

I think it takes a long time to get used to the 'new you' - I looked in the mirror at the 'fatter' me for so long - and hated what I saw - that it is taking a long time to get used to the 'thin' me! And I have loose skin in SO many areas!:o;) But I took in my before photos this week and I know that I would rather have the saggy skin around the neck ( and I've just hit 50 so it's not going tobounce back magically is it?) than look like i did in the photo taken at my sister's wedding in 2009! In the photo I don't have any saggy skin - I have skin filled with FAT - and it's horrible!

I know what you mean about clothes choices too - I now wear a skirt to weigh in and my kids say I look fantastic ( they are my harshest critics) but I still think my tummy looks really big - or i did until I saw THAT photo!

You have done so well to get to target and stay there!

A stranger stopped me whilst I was out for my walk today and asked me how much weight I had lost! I was delighted!

Flat Eric - it has taken me almost a whole countdown to lose what I put on over Christmas when I didn't count my Christmas cake!;):o:o You just need to have some selfbelief that you can control those syns and get to grips with it!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

Hi, I haven't been on here for ages, nice to see some new 'faces' and good to see some old names still here. I haven't had time to read the back posts but I will try to get around to them sometime soon.

    Where's Dizzy, I really hope she's o.k.

I'm still plodding on to get back to target. I'm 9 st. 1 lb now and target is 8st 5lb. Consultant has suggested that my target was too low and I agree but I did get there!!! (just can't get back within it) She said I could higher my target but it would have to be by 7lb., can anyone explain how it works please. x

if you make a target, say for example 9 stone 10lbs, then you decide to reset that target, you have to reset it by at least 7lbs, so your new target would be either, 9stone 3, or 10stone 3.

each time you set a new target, it has to be at least 7lbs difference from your last target,

    HTH;)

  • First WI and a loss of 4lbs - really happy with that :j

I bought the Extra Easy cookbook as I need some inspiration for dinners this week and I really want to plan my menus and shop accordingly and just generally feel a bit more organised.

Someone at the class suggested making a quiche which sounds like a good idea. For a large quiche dish you need about 6 eggs and 3/4 of a large pot of very low fat cottage cheese (Tesco Lighter Choice for example). Mix it all up and add whatever vegetables you like - onions, peppers etc. Cook for about 30 minutes.

Apparently it is delicious and a really good thing to have in the fridge if you get the munchies and also freezes well. May be a good option for those that need a packed lunch - just wrap portions in cling film and freeze.

So extra easy base your main meals on two thirds free (so the red free foods and the green free foods) add one third superfree (items on the orange pages in your book).

Thank you Flat Eric this explains the stuff ive been reading about the EE and adding superfree to the pasta etc would help keep me on track.

I dont know how to quote more than person in a post so i will try to rememeber as i go. I do enjoy fruit & veg and usually cook from scratch but i used to find the pasta in sauces a great filler if i was going out after work and didnt want to raid the buffet or on to a meeting or eating really late.

I think a lot of people dont like the clapping and i dont know why SW still do it as its well known for being scorned. As for cost i found that i probably spent at least £5 less a week on convenience foods, sweets, chocolate or takeaways while at SW.

Take it easy - i can totally empathise with you i lost a lot of weight 5 years ago and i hated my body and saggy skin i prefer my fat body (maybe not this fat tho :p) and this contributed to me not returning to SW and eventually putting alot of it back on. I think it takes time to get used to the new you and recently a magazine quoted Dawn French saying that she felt that her body was alien and she missed her old body. So i think cycling yorkie speaks a lot of sense in her post (254) sorry cant multi quote.

I also think the poster who said you make eye contact now is spot on. When you watch people who are not confident they walk around avoiding eye contact and missing things but if your confident you have your head held high and you are more aware.
So you're Red John? I have to say I'm a little disappointed.
