I hate fat days. I refuse to have them any more. You feel worse and want to eat more.
Look at it this way - you have clothes ready for this time next month... as you will be that much slimmer won't you ;)

    Well done losers :j:j:A:A

STILL suffering with throat, voice comes and goes too. Totally fed up now :(

Feel a waffle coming on , sorry :o.
Why is it that when I was at my heaviest I wasn't afraid to wear leggings and T-shirts that didn't cover my ample botty and I wasn't self concious at all. Now though, when I am at target and slimmer than I've been since I was 18 I am SO self concious. I am afraid to wear leggings with anything that doesn't come to mid thigh as am not happy with my botty [too flat and shapeless now]. I don't mind wearing jeans as they 'lift' me a bit. Its doing my head in as I think everyone is looking at me :o [like they don't have anything better to do :p]. I was quite happy to wander round in bikini top and shorts when heavy and didn't mind my flab being on view so why do I cover up now? I think in my mind I still see myself as big even though I have been slim for well over a year now. Think I need my head examined :rotfl:
If I had one wish I wish I had found my mojo when I was young enough for my skin to spring back into shape as that makes me self concious too. Baggy skin round my neck makes me look older than I am [46 last Friday :D] but feel I look at least 10 years older. I work with someone who is the same age and she looks so much younger than me [makes me sick :rotfl:].

Ok have depressed myself more now and bored you all to tears SORRY :o
awww TIE that's why we are here, to support each other and you've had one long sad/bad year and it's possibly hitting you know ...do you have money to go for a massage or a facial, just to have some "me" time? If not a diy facial is almost as relaxing, you can get the mud packs that tighten the skin on your face (just don't answer the door or approach an unwary child); or have your nails done or something. I'm sure you look great, and in a way it's not a bad thing to be more body-aware - the sunshine is certainly revealing a lot of people who AREN'T very body aware :p (I mean both "many" people and "a lot of" them!) Thing is now, if you do wear longer tops, you know it's not to cover a big bum, it's because you want to wear them! Big hugs anyway x
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

oh I had an idea, would it work. Someone a page or two wondered how much we all lose per week. If we started by putting how much one person lost, then the next c&p that one and adds her weight, then the next does the same etc and at the end of the week start again, I wonder if it would work.

eg I would hesitate to start with my measly 0.5 lb, then someone else might copy so it looked like
    B-R 0.5 lb
    Czer 2.0 lb = 2.5 lb
    Shellyholly 1.0 lb = 3.5 lb ...

if someone gained they'd have to subtract theirs though!

  • Could I please join your merry bunch? I did SW a couple of years ago successfully, and then thought I could manage on my own - and didn't! I joined again 2 weeks ago and lost 2.5lb in my first weigh-in, and am feeling very positive. Reading about everyone's success has spurred me on!

TIE - I don't know what to say but didn't want to read and run so hugs. x
Thanks KM, just ignore my rambling lol I think too much :rotfl:
Another 3.5 lost. thats 1 stone, 3lbs in 5 weeks. Plus my 1stone award, Slimmer of the Week, and Slimmer of the Month too! :A
    well done :T:T:T:T

I suspect it's because your not walking around looking down and avoiding eye contact, your confidence is so much better now than it was people SEE you! SW mag has some excellent ideas in to shift the "years" this month. I might actually get round to reading it too soon!
I will look out for the mag though suspect its too late for me :o

Hi, I haven't been on here for ages, nice to see some new 'faces' and good to see some old names still here. I haven't had time to read the back posts but I will try to get around to them sometime soon.

    Where's Dizzy, I really hope she's o.k.

I'm still plodding on to get back to target. I'm 9 st. 1 lb now and target is 8st 5lb. Consultant has suggested that my target was too low and I agree but I did get there!!! (just can't get back within it) She said I could higher my target but it would have to be by 7lb., can anyone explain how it works please. x

Hi Confused! your consultant may be confused. I think you have to need to lose at least 7 lbs (but still be within reasonable weight) but I thought you could just "declare target" if you want to. Can you get the answer off the SW website? nice to see you back anyway!

    woohoo! Lost 2lbs tonight!!

That's 5 stone 6pounds in total - and fingers crossed for the 5 and a half stone next week!

I will never forget the gasp that erupted when the leader held up my 'before' pair of jeans!

    That's fantastic, well done. x

I might be the one whose confused!! (it wouldn't be the first time!!!) I really want to be around 8st 7lb so I figure that if I can persevere and get 5lb off I can stay around there and still be within the original target of 8st. 5lb. Does that make sense?
