so as you will see from my post above, I am feeling a little bit negative about SW at the moment.

I conducted an interesting exercise last year in that I kept a diary of all the food I ate on a day by day basis. I did this from mid feb till around about august. As its a year since I did the diary, I have been looking back to see what I ate a year ago today and my, it made interesting reading. My overriding opinion was why on earth did i eat so much rubbish ? Some days, the bad food was all but coming out of my ears!

Anyhow I don't want to repeat this. Its no wonder the weight has crept back on.

    I appear to be waffling....

The long and short of it is that I know what works for me SW wise. After being determined to have my first proper week on plan and on track in like forever, I have scuppered this by having a few too many syns yesterday and FAR FAR too many today.

I need to write out a plan (I know i keep saying this) and I need to have a syn curfew. Having 10 syns at 10am this morning was my downfall today.

I will get there. I so want to get back into all my lovely clothes and feel good about myself again. I look at previous pics of me having lost the weight with almost envy! I will get there though!

Oh don't be so hard on yourself, you have done really well and you will get back to it. We all have off times and having a consultant who doesn't motivate you doesn't help. Could you make it to a different group?

Cut yourself some slack and you'll be fine. - onwards and downwards !!!!

As for Dizzy's tank, I think it must be on auto pilot at the moment cos no sign of Dizzy. I do hope all is well with her. x

I know she had sick relatives (her mum?) and was going to have to care for them, but I do wonder if she got all her ops sorted out etc ... I am sure she will track us down eventually but I miss her. We don't have a decent driver now. There is another group near work at 5.15, I am thinking of arranging to start & finish earlier on a Wednesday to hit that one.
I too am giving some serious consideration to my target - I joined wanting to lose 6 stones - ie 11 stone 9.5lbs, but decided to rethink to 10 stone 7lbs (100lbs off).

I have never agreed a final target with S/W - so now i am rethinking again....

Piglet - I don't think you're copping out at all! You have an incredible record! Truely awesome!

If you decide that you have reached your target you can always reset it later - 7lbs lower. You can go 3lbs lower and still be in target - if you then lose another 2lbs you only have to lose another 2 to have lost an extra half stone! Hope that makesa sense!

Congrats to got there - and piglet - both you guys are a massive inspiration to all the posters on this thread....

Gettingthere and Piglet, and Yorkie: take heed from me. I set a target (ok I had a coupla mini ones before that so I could sneak in a few free weeks :rotfl:) and then when I got there, to the real target, I decided to knock off another half stone to give me a bit of leeway. Well I never did get to that new one, my body just didn't want to. I didnt go to class between autumn & Easter and slowly the pounds edged on so now instead of half a stone off target I am a stone off, and still struggling. Go with what your body tells you - and remember, to be really MSE you do want your new wardrobe to be useable for at least a year! Not falling off you within weeks

As far as the charges go when the scales are broken or such, I think it's up to the consultant. I imagine she still has to pay for hire of the hall - and there's her time if everyone stays to image therapy. Some consultants use SW as their way of making a living and some do it on top of another job, but either way I can kind of see why there'd still be a charge. I think the scales are ALWAYS out lately tbh, they weigh heavy ours do.;)

Ooooh someone up there lost 5.5 lbs - that is FANTASTIC!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

I had a nosey online with asda and they have slimming world tubs.. strawberry or chocolate flavour. I am sure it said milkshake.
I know that toning my tummy wont get rid of the fat, but is something I need to do whilst losing iygwim. I need to lose the weight first. I just want to lose it in a healthy way. I know I will probably lose weight in others areas aswell as my stomach, but am working on toning other areas to, to ensure I am healthy.

    Do you mean SlimFast?

RainbowDreamer I think you mean Slimfast shakes&bars? It's something totally different to SW sorry...
SW is all for fresh home made meals and lots of fruit and veg, the SW bars are just hi fibre cereal bars or you can use Alpen Lights while on the plan :)
Maybe go to the SW website and try the 7 days menu they have on there to see for yourself if you like it?

Flat Eric I can see where you're coming from... I am sometimes fed up with the syns too! BUT I really want and need to loose weight so I will stick to it as I enjoy the eating plan... It's just the chocolate I crave every now and then and can't stop where I should :(
Hope you can sort it out for yourself and wishing you luck! :)

Not long back from WI and I gained 1lb.......I knew it though, I'm just glad it wasn't more. I was kidding myself thinking I may have lost this week. But like I said yesterday inches/centimeters are coming off so I'm happy all in all.

Going to aim for a 100% week but I have a few things on this weekend and it's going to be hard but going to give it my best shot!

That's the spirit lalamb! get back on track and enjoy.
Glad your happy with the inches coming off. If you get stuck try on some bigger clothes and then you can visually see what you have lost and give yourself an incentive to carry on! :rotfl:

    Flateric,
    Don't give up! Please?
Sometimes we all get fed up, it's human nature. The key to success is being able to draw a line underneath our failings and carry on regardless. Just think about your holiday, if you give up now you won't thank yourself, you will probably be at least a stone or more heavier than you are now and you won't enjoy it one bit.
Keep coming on this forum, we will try to motivate you if we can, we can help plan some meals for you, do whatever you ask. Just don't give up.
Sleep on it and give it more thought. You owe it to yourself!
    Hugs to you xx
