Cheese is an HEB on green, not an HEA? Or as well as?

It's as well as! The HEB list is longer with much more choice on it, Camembert is on it and goats cheese. Theoretically you can have 2HEA cheese choices and 2HEB cheese choices too if you wanted to.

This is why I love green days! Macaroni cheese with 2A of cheese and SW chips, yum!

  • Even just looking at the HEB list last night for Green, the extra pages make a big difference to choice - like ready made houmous for instance. Yay!

Green it is me thinks :-)

Yep - I find the HE choices on EE very limiting and the fact that most of my fav veg aren't superfree - Green all the way for me!

Can I ask what Success Express is please? Never heard of this.

Also does anyone have any decent recipes for lasagne, I tried a HM one last night, extra lean mince beef, courgette, pepper, mushroom, onion, carrot, garlic, tomato etc. form the bolognese, pasta sheets and then a mixture of low fat cottage cheese (not sure what the syns for this are) and fat free yogurt (leftover in fridge). Tastes "ok" but for me there was not enough white sauce. Is there a better way of making the white sauce.

    Cheers

SE is one of the older plans, it used to be given out in the packs but now i think you have to ask for it. its for when you feel your losses have slowed down or you want to give them a bit of a boost. its basically just EE but with 2/3 SF instead and all snacks, starters and desserts must be SF, HE or synned. still 5-15 syns a day but 2HEA and 2HEB instead.

Try using fat free cheese (either Quark or cottage cheese), and mix with egg yolk (gives it a richer flavour and a nice set). A sprinkle of nutmeg will also be good!

I made macaroni cheese last night using quark, a whole egg, seasoning and nutmeg. Tasted great and nobody noticed the difference. I made enough for 4 of us and used 4 portions of grated mozzarella (to get my HEA in) so stirred one portion of the cheese ito the sauce and the rest over the top.

I shall make my white sauce using HEA milk and 'sauce flour' which will have a syn value but can be used without fat to make a bechamel. Only use 4 tablespoons for 600ml of milk (enough for 4) - which I make to be 3.5 syns per portion - not bad for a proper lasagne!
