I'll just quickly share my shame before I go to bed...

I was looking a bit pasty in the mirror this morning, and the St Tropez leg tan was on my dressing table. I decided it couldn't be bad for my face as long as I protected my eyes so I put on swimming goggles, applied it, blended - and the results looked great. The light was a bit murky but I looked healthy and glowy and decided I didn't even need to apply any base products.

I had lunch with a friend who looked rather sceptical when I said I had no make-up on, and I couldn't understand why.

I just went and looked in the bathroom mirror to put my cleanser on before bed - and my face was sparkling! The tanner must have some shimmer stuff in it. I was walking round in the sun all day twinkling like a Twilight vampire. Argh:(

:rotfl: What are we all like?? I'm sure you just looked balmy and radiant (and failing that just pretend to yourself you did ;) ).

I faced the hairdresser, she mended the fringe. ;) But she was concerned about how dry my hair was and told me to use argan oil religiously - of course I went to top of the class when I said I had just got some this week. She is expecting a huge improvement by my next visit - I'd best be good!

    Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this thread *waves nervously like new kid at school* and was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me?

I subscribed to SSB the other day and got an email saying the first beauty box I got would be Junes, and they would send me an email when it's been sent basically.

Then today I get an email which said:

"Just a quick note to let you know that due to overwhelming demand for the July She Said Beauty Box we have delayed processing payments until Monday 18 June, to let everyone have a chance to subscribe"

Is it just a timing thing and will I get Junes or will I start on July??? Very confused so sorry if it's really obvious and I'm missing it!

    Thanks Beebop

Green people toothpastes are all fluoride free so disastrous for your teeth.

Sensodyne toothpastes are sls free as is lidl herbalux toothpaste ( herbal taste). Dawood and tanner are as well I think and used to be available from Boots but not sure if still available now.

SuperDrugs own brand toothpaste is very cheap and sls free as well.

More expensively health food shops stock kingfisher but check it is the one that contains fluoride as well as being sls free.

    Welcome to the thread welcome9.gif

Don't be shy, chatter away and ask anything you like. When it comes to the timing of boxes, I'm afraid it's not that easy. In fact, you are probably more likely to understand String Theory than the subscription/dispatch framework of Beauty Boxes :rotfl:

I would guess that you will probably receive June's box as that is the one they are currently sending out to new subscribers. I assume that the latest email you received is just to inform you that the cut-off date for subscriptions to the June box is 18th and anyone subscribing after that will receive the July box.

But don't take my word for it - I can't even remember which boxes I've got coming to me this month!

PS - there are codes and cashback notes on the very first page of this thread, so if you missed them, you can always unsubscribe and then resubscribe later in the month to make sure you get the best value

My thoughtful postman left a couple of big parcels around the back, with a card through my door this morning. I heard the letterbox, although he didn't knock. :p

I got a People Tree goody bag, plus Junes SSB box. SSB is another beautiful useful looking outer box, so I'm building a collection for storage as are others on this thread. :D:rotfl:

On reflection, I am really happy with my SSB box. I will say why in white below:

Elemis Tranquil Touch Bath Elixir - I love the smell of this, as it is unusual (I love Patchouli), and it looks very moisturising, and indulgent.

Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream - At first I wasn't sure, but am now delighted, as is something I would never buy at full price without testing first, and really is marvellous. I have tried BB creams before that were too pale, so this suits. :)

Mischa Barton Whipped Shea Body Butter Lemon Zest - Yes I have tonnes of Body creams, but this looks lovely, with lots of natural ingredients. I haven't opened yet, as a 6 month shelf life, and I'm still using my Lavera all-purpose cream. This will be the next one I open when thats finished.

St Tropez Self-Tan Perfect Legs Spray - Not sure that this will benefit me loads, as my legs are pretty brown at the moment, although not quite optimum colour. I had 2 mini-skirts in my People Tree Goody Bag, after complaining to someone I hadn't the legs for shorts anymore, :rotfl: so will apply lavishly before wearing them, and hope...

Lets Go Lashes, Temptress 2 - I know I've said I wasn't fond of lashes, but think I have found my perfect pair. My natural ones are dark, and long, but sparse. :( I would actually wear these during the day, as look very glamorous. :T

Yardley Royal Diamond Eau de Toilette - Not a fan of 1ml perfume samples, so I gave to my 8 year old, along with the pink packaging ribbon. :D
