  • I would have thought so. As long as you have proof you emailed them before the despatch emails came out you should be fine.

Brilliant, thank you, emailed them so now I'll have to wait and see what they say :)

  • Well, I cancelled my Amarya box today ... I'm a huge fan of natural products but just feel I've not had the "wow" feeling with them for ages now. :(
I'd signed up for a 3 mth Glossybox subscription last month and have fingers crossed this month's box is a good 'un.

My SSB box arrived today. I got
Jamela 24K gold under eye mask. looking forward to using this, might save it till Christmas; Dr Duve eye cream sachet sample and skin boosting cream sachet sample. Again, quality products, just tiny samples so single use really which is disappointing; Technic nail varnish in tawny port, nice shade, haven't used this brand before; Amie spring clean cooling clay mask 15mL sachet; two sachets of jing tea bags. I got green tea (love it) and jasmine; Then the :0 product that I really didn't want, MesmerEyez coloured contacts in amethyst. Why would you do that? I cannot understand their place ina beauty box at all.
I quite like the rest of the box, but wish the samples were mini tubes so that I could really try the products out. At least they are high end this month.
Hope that spoiler worked otherwise I'll remove the post swiftly!

I really want the thing you got that you didn't want! ;-)

  • My SSB was the same as above, except my contact lenses were blue. I have no idea why you'd send a blue-eyed person blue contact lenses, but I guess there must be a reason!
In all honesty, I was disappointed. The value of the SSB boxes seems to really be going downhill; a £1.25 bottle of nail varnish isn't exactly my idea of glamour (though the shade is nice).
The contact lenses scare me; I've tried to use coloured contacts in the past, and they folded up on themselves while they were on my eye, so I couldn't get them off. I might be more inclined to try these if they weren't the same colour as my eyes already.
I did like the Amie mask last time it was in the box so I'm pleased with that, and I'm always interested in trying new face creams.

SSB have also started doing the one thing that REALLY annoys me about beauty boxes; sending different things to different people. Looking on the 'sneak peek', I would have loved to have received the other products (facial oil, Bourjois 1 second nail varnish remover).
The inequality between boxes was the main reason I cancelled Glossybox, and it's definitely contributed to my decision not to renew my SSB.

tbh I don't mind people getting different things in the boxes but I do mindthe differences in value. I think that Glossybox has now addressed this issue, they weren't big differences in value (only a couple of £) from one box to another so I don't mind.

Joliebox on the other hand had huge differences in value for the Oct and Nov boxes, where some boxes were worth multiple times the others. Actually emailed them about this in Oct but nevermind. The last few boxes weren't great but the last one was terrible, so I'm really hoping Dec will be great. We'll see. Is anyone tempted by their best of 2012 box? I can get it for 10£ with my points, so I am tempted. Would definetely get it if I was sure to get the coconut lipbalm which is bad but don't fancy a fruit one.

Also I emailed LIB about the getting an advent calendar discount code and they said that it is only for customers who have purchased an advent calendar before. I told them I know people who got a code without purchasing an advent calendar but they didn't respond. I thought their customer service was great, I'm really disappointed now.

My SSB was the same as loubyloo's and elegantlywasted's except I got green variant of the thing that LL did not want. Not much use for me tbh as I either wear contacts or glasses and glasses would hide the colour.

Not too happy with the value of the box but it was free so I shouldn't complain. I won't be renewing my subscription though unless they do another 6 months deal like the last one.

Wasnt impressed with my SSB either but as above i didnt pay for it so meh. Does anyone know if the 6 month subscriptions continue on or end after the 6 months. As I cant see an option to cancel or anything and I dont want to continue!

I got the normal and personalised Amarya boxes this month, the normal one was disappointing, the personalised one was okay but I cant afford to get it every month, would be better if it was every other or 3rd month and maybe only £20 x

I'd love to know what's in some of the personalised boxes too. I haven't seen any blogs on them.
